Edward's Men's Shop — Local services in Saginaw Charter Township

I don't normally write reviews about my experiences at any business that I have shopped at, but Edward's Men Shop is the exception. On January 2 I needed to get a suit. I have not worn a suit in 20 some years. I walked into Edward's that morning and was greeted by a gentleman at the door. He asked if he could help me. I said I needed some dress clothes. Maybe it was the look on my face that prompted him to ask how soon did I need them. I said "my wife's funeral is tomorrow". He said " we will take care of you" and he had the clerk show me some suits. He asked, what kind of suit I would like, and I said it had been 20 plus years since I had a suit, and I told him to pick something out for me. He found a suit that looked good, then he found a shirt, tie, and shoes. The pants needed to be altered, and the tailor was right there to make his measurements. They said to come back in a few hours and it would be ready. When I picked up the suit it was ready, and they even had the shirt pressed for me. People at the funeral the next day complemented me on how well the suit looked. They asked where I got it, and when I said Edward's their response was "that had to cost a lot". Then I told them the price for everything, and they said "that's less than you would pay at a chain store." I can't remember the three gentlemen's names that worked with me that day, but I want to thank all three of you. I primarily buy custom made bespoke dress shirts from a well-known tailor in Chicago. When I do buy clothing from a local store, I prefer Edward's. They have a fantastic selection of men's business attire. Their prices are very competitive and the staff is knowledgeable. If they don't have the item in stock you are looking for, they can probably get it. I recently bought a new sweater from them. I had very specific requirements and Gary was more than accommodating. He not only found the garment I envisioned, he also was able to take my idea and expand upon it to eventually show me a sweater far better than anything I could have come up with on my own.

These guys know menswear. If you are a novice to dressing sharp, this is THE place in Saginaw to find some guidance on classic men's style. If I could give them six stars, I would. My best friends original suit shop closed during covid sadly taking their deposits and leaving them without suits! However, Edwards was accommodating, friendly and able help. One of the bridal party wanted a suit over a dress and they treated her just like anyone else, even allowing her to try on her suit to make sure she felt confident in it a few days before the wedding in case something had to be overnighted. The only complaint I have is that the suits where a bit big on everyone and several of the pants where you could make them tighter didn’t function so a few groomsmen had to hope they didn’t loose their pants, however they are rented from a third party and sent back so theirs not much Edwards personally had part in.
