I stopped at the store late in the day today. My first time there. Both doors were open. I started to go in the wrong one, I guess. A man in a chair with his feet up yelled, āOther door, bud!ā As I went in the store I walked down the long aisle past 3 men behind the counter, one asked what I needed (from 30 feet away) and I said i was looking for an I-phone and one person said, āBack on the side.ā I kept looking and finally found them. After one man asked (again from the other side of the room), what carrier, I stated that I wanted an unlocked phone), and after that, no one spoke to me again. No one ever came within 30 feet of me to help me! Why? I donāt know. I was dressed so-so and I parked my beat up track across from the front window of the store. Didnāt I look like a buying customer? Well, you might be 3 great guys! But you blew it! I had a $1000 in my pocket and was looking for a refurbished or new phone. But you guys wouldnāt even walk down the aisle to help me! Are any of you the owner? I hope not! Iāve been in sales, too, but never have acted like that towards a customer. Maybe I just didnāt look like a paying one. Wrong! Well, You will never have to worry about me stopping in again. Or recommending your place of business for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy far, without question, the strangest business I have ever been in. They did decent work - had the screen on my moto replaced. When I walked in there was basically a mob of people, 8-10, behind the counter and more continued to pile in as I was there. Except for Jesse and the young woman, who are friendly, they all look at you weird almost as if wondering why you are there. Every person behind the counter had beers in their hand including the people who were working, and there was a large cooler of beer behind the counter. They were engaging in very unprofessional conversations about relationships, drugs and fights. Then, they pulled some laptops out from the case, and proceeded to separate a large gallon bag of marijuana into smaller bags - all while working on my phone and during normal business hours. Had to take the phone back immediately after for several things not working correctly. Very, very odd business that I can't recommend. Surprised none of the other reviews...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my phone in because it wouldnāt charge past 1%. The staff assumed it was a battery problem and replaced the battery, but when that didnāt fix it, they said it was likely the charging port. Since their technician wouldnāt be available for a week, they handed my phone back as I couldnāt wait that long.
The moment it was returned to me, I noticed screen lines that were not there before. My phone now had brand new screen damage on top of the original charging issue.
I immediately went to Charlieās Platinum Wireless, where they confirmed it was the charging port all along, and now the screen also had to be replaced because of the damage caused here. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into a much bigger, more expensive problem.
Be warned: this shop not only failed to fix the original issue, but actually made my phone worse. I left with two problems...
