I had my first appointment here on 08/07/21. I was serviced by Aubrey. My hair is destroyed. I had requested an ashy blonde balayage and walked out with....I don't even know what. I was there for my appointment starting at 1 pm and walked out of there at 6 pm holding back tears, bleach at the base of my neck, and with wet hair. I stayed there as long as I could until I had to leave to pick up my infant son. I planned to be there until 5 pm, I figured that was enough time for what needed to be done. But the only thing that was done in that time frame was bleach and an attempt to color my hair. I tried to give Aubrey the benefit of the doubt by being patient while it took her two hours to bleach my whole head. I trusted that she knew what she was doing when she had to go back and retone my hair because she told me that my color didn't take. My hair feels like straw. The color is uneven, patchy. Horrible horrible. I was supposed to get my hair blow dried, a hair cut and styled and none of that happened. So today, I had to call the salon three times before someone answered only to be told the manager is not in on Saturdays and to leave a message. I paid 230$ for a nightmare. I had the pleasure of having my hair styled by Kendra. This was my first time as a patron at Rock your Locks Salon and I was looking to have my color corrected. I had been to two other salons before coming here needless to say I was a bit anxious and skeptical because I had left those other salons unsatisfied, but as they say “the third time is the charm” I am so pleased with how my hair turned out. When I did my consultation with Kendra she was very attentive and knowledgeable I felt confident that my strands were in good hands. The next day was my appointment. Kendra was very friendly, Which made me feel relaxed and welcomed. She explained each step of the process and would ask me exactly what I wanted but I trusted her opinion and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better outcome for my locks. I adore my new hair color, cut and style and was very surprised at the affordable cost of it all. I would also like to mention that I seen a few other clients leave with big smiles on their faces and beautiful vibrant hair color. I’m getting married in two weeks. I stressed how important this color and cut were. Emily thinned out and cut a chunk out of the back of my hair ON PURPOSE because I wasn’t happy with the color!!! It’s taken me a year to get my length and thickness back and she ruined it!! I Came in for blonde highlights. She gave me a skunk white stripe in the back…Definitely NOT a blonde specialist. I am beyond upset. UPDATE: Since posting I am getting harassing Facebook messages from I’m assuming friends of the salon. I am shocked that behavior like this is allowed to happen. Beware if you leave a bad review, they will send their people after you on social media. ( P.S. I paid $100 to have my hair ruined and they’re trying to state that I received free services.
