Great Food, Big Drinks, and an Awesome Atmosphere

Hecks Bar in Carrollton, is a great spot to grab a bite and enjoy some drinks. The food is consistently delicious, and I love that they have a special every day—it’s always something new to try. Plus, they serve any beer on draft in huge mugs, which is always a win. The atmosphere is especially awesome when watching Lions games—it’s really lively and fun. The staff is mostly fantastic, always friendly and attentive, though there are a couple of workers who come off as a bit rude, which can be a bit off-putting. I do wish their kitchen stayed open a little later, but I understand they have their hours. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a relaxed meal with great food, big drinks, and a great atmosphere....

Good bar, lousy karaoke. A corner beer and popcorn joint. Good selection of beers, great serving staff. The karaoke DJ not so much. She decides to play 5 rock songs (loudly) between every time the people who are waiting up get to sing. She was rude to a customer in my party, and then I think she may have jacked up the pitch on one of my songs because she didn't like our group. For a finishing touch, in a bar full of couples, she allowed a single male customer to sing one of the most vulgar songs I have ever heard. My last time there...

Wings were just okay, I asked for naked and got breaded wings. I asked for a side salad and it was pre shredded lettuce from a bag, two slices of tomatoes that were cut up into tiny pieces to look like more and then three onions slices. I asked for no cheese but for $4 for a side salad I was...
