Retreat Golf Course — Local services in Saint Simons

The Retreat course is very underrated, and it was my first course to play at Sea Island. It was raining and during January so the course was still in good shape although dormant and completely saturated. But the layout is terrific. The t's were very good and the greens although soaking wet were still good. For January Golf and cart path only as expected this golf course was a real treat and should be a destination course as well in better seasons. Once again the staff from the backdrop to the main Pro Shops were top notch. Sea Island is truly a destination with three golf courses and come play The Retreat course as well. The Retreat course is the newest of the Sea Island layouts; originally designed by Joe Lee and subsequently reworked in 2001 by Davis Love III and his brother Mark. Course is in fantastic condition. Greens were perfect. Hats off to the outside services guys! Very friendly. Sea Island really knows how to take care of their guests! Highly recommend...
