ReUse Emporium & ReNew Emporium — Local services in Saint Thomas

I think that reuse emporium is hit or miss. The biggest thing that turned me off to this place is that I saw a vanity set that I had recently purchased at furniture giant for $199 here however this one was used and repainted grey with a paint that was probably for house walls and not furniture. I got the same vanity brand new never used before from for waaaayyyyyy less. Furniture is just really expensive here ($500 for a set that's torn??) and if you're going to spend that amount of money on something you might as well get it brand new from a retail store out here.

If you're on a budget for kitchenware and house decor on the other hand this is a the place to find a good bargain but you do have to search. Somethings are just overpriced for being used. Been to RR multiple times over the years and bought a few things to furnish my condo. Customer service was always good, never great. Went yesterday and customer service was downright horrible! The store was closed due to training, which I didn’t know because Google wasn’t updated and there was no sign on the door I entered indicating so. I was approached by an employee who told me the store was closed asking me ‘didn’t you see the sign?’ No, I didn’t see the sign that was ten feet away from the door I entered. And why would an employee ask such a disparaging question? Your store is closed. Ok. Your signage isn’t great. Own it. A customer walks in without any indication you’re closed and you treat him like a dunce. I hope the training covered basic customer service skills because the employee I encountered could use some!...

Update 3/15/2025 The new owners haven't paid us for our consignments for over a year. Word is getting around the island. Other reviewers here talk about how they aren't being paid. The owners aren't there, and when we ask the clerk, he puts us off, calling the owners who say the check will go out next month. This has been the same every month. We're thinking about small claims court at this point. Very disappointing.
