Corn maze was setup very nice. They have two mazes, one for kids and one for adults. Very good time and if you can read a map you won't get lost. Then they have the pumpking patch which is huge and they have the best prices on pumpkins. Their donuts and apple cider are also really great and well priced.

Thank you Jeff L for a fun night of scares, goose bumps and laughter. The lines are long but only because you have done a great job and everyone wants in on it. You have made lemonade out of lemons to create a place of pleasure.

Get ready for a long wait in line, but definitely worth the wait. It's best to go with a large group of friends for the best experience. We were very impressed with the corn maze, we will check out the haunted woods next year!

I work at a homeless shelter for youth and we had planned an outing with a couple of the youth at the shelter to walk this corn maze. When we arrived we learned that they are cash only but have an atm. We were going to use a company credit card to pay so using the atm was not an option and unfortunately after arriving, I had to inform the youth that we probably couldn’t walk the maze. Since we drove 25 minutes though to get there and the kids were disappointed that we probably couldn’t walk the maze I thought maybe because of the situation that they would allow the youth to walk the maze for free, however, after explaining the situation to the staff we were sadly turned away. We came with the intention of paying but couldn’t due to the company credit card not allowing us to pull cash from an atm. We weren’t asking for free donuts, cider or food the only ask was to walk the corn maze for free due to the situation, something that would have cost them nothing to allow. I understand they are running a business and cannot allow people to just walk their maze for free but they could have considered this charity work for youth who are currently experiencing homeless and have been neglected for the majority of their lives.

I am giving them two stars instead of one only because they were not necessarily rude to us, just not willing to give back to the community...

After coming here for years I was disappointed by my experience. The website did say they were anticipating the day we went for a busy day and that the wait could be up to 3 hours. That’s fine and well but you expect the two hour line you wait in just to purchase your ticket to be the wait. Once that ticket is purchased there are no refunds. We wait in another line to be brought back and then it is another 2 hour wait. I just feel they should have made it very clear every step of the way with communication from staff that they have exceeded posted wait times, especially before you purchase your ticket and have to wait in another line in the dark in between the corn stalks. Unfortunately for my sisters and I we left as (no fault to New Salem Corn Maze) there was a group of boys behind us touching people inappropriately and a group in front of us throwing rocks, one of which hit my sister. Not at all a safe experience when we were in that dark area waiting in another line. I unfortunately will not be coming back, although I do think if you are someone who doesn’t mind the long lines that could still be a fun experience. We didn’t see the attraction so I can’t speak to how the wait would have been worth it but the young kids behind us on the tractor back to the cars seemed to...

Starting with the positives, the decorations were impressive and the actors varied in their performances. The attraction offered a range of scary houses, catering to various horror movie preferences. Some of the actors did a great job with their roles. The presence of porta potties throughout the location was a major plus.

However, there were some negative aspects that overshadowed the positives in my opinion. Firstly, the long lines were unbearable. Our group arrived at 6:30 PM and did not leave until 10:00 PM, spending two and a half hours just waiting in lines. The main line to get tickets led to another line for the tractor ride, followed by more lines for each trail. This led to numerous missed opportunities to scare customers, which is not ideal considering the steep price of $40 for two trails. Perhaps the attraction was understaffed this year. Overall, the long lines made it a one-time experience for me, as it detracted from the enjoyment...
