Been a faithful customer since 1995 when we moved within two miles of B&J. I can't say enough good things about the previous owner, Bob. He was the shining example of a small business man. He knew his customer's names and we were like family in the way he made us feel when walking through the door. Every year for many years when my brother would visit from Washington State, he and my niece would stop by B&J on their way to Assateague for a scrapple sandwich no matter if I'd already cooked him one. Bob remembered them, year after year. Mike has been gone now for quite some time but my niece still talks about the market. The spotless bathroom is always available for customers. I am happy to say that the new owner, Mr. Patel, is just as welcoming and is interested in what the decades old customers have to say. He has retained the exceptional staff and the store is clean and well stocked. Mr. Patel even delivered my sandwich to my car a few days ago. Very thoughtful. As always, the deli is great and everything is cooked to order. We are so happy to see Mr. Patel carrying on the B&J tradition. I wish him great success as the market is an asset to our community.
