If you have a personal coach/plan this gym seems like a good place to go and exercise. Place looks clean and it's open 24/7 which helps if you want a flexible schedule. Parking was good and well.
The problem is the staff. It's that old story, they are all nice and smiles but after you sign an yearly plan all that kindness goes away. I was told the subscription was biweekly but they signed me for a yearly plan. When I asked the person who signed me up for more details I got a very rude "I don't have time to talk to you" response.
To make sure you don't make the same mistake I did: subscriptions cost $30/biweekly and that's only to have access to the gym. If you want to join a group class or have a personal coach that costs more, which makes sense and it's fair. A group class (4 people) once a week costs $90/biweekly. You need to have an active subscription in the gym to join the group classes.
What's is the catch? They have an app (AF App) and they told me during the sign up that it would give me a plan so I could workout by myself at the gym. However, the app only gives you exercises to do at home - meaning, if you want to use the gym you will need to come with a plan or use their coaches. The coaches are nice BTW, however they only offer group classes or personal programs. I can workout for myself, I just wanted someone providing me with a plan but that option isn't...

No matter how many new gyms I try, I always come back to Anytime Fitness. It’s simply the best gym membership to have for all of your needs, whenever, and wherever, at an extremely reasonable price. The culture is a perfect balance between hardcore and relaxed. The members are predominantly respectful, and the staff are always a notch above the average. The bad reviews seem to be cloaked entitlement behind an inability to read the contract they signed.
That being said, this particular Anytime Fitness stands above the rest. The setup and size of this location is perfect, and it’s always incredibly clean. Also the owner could not have picked a better manager. The manager is an extremely affable and attentive guy. While most people in western Washington are socially cold, there’s a real warmth to him, and those small interactions can really mean a lot. That positive energy carries through the workouts. Fantastic staff but the manager deserves special praise.

Read moreFirst time in 13 plus years as an anytime fitness member I've dropped a 1 star review on a club.
The Club itself is fine.... but the owner's policies... i don't agree with
I've been home members to dozens of clubs as a traveler and I've never had any issue with going to any club in the world. If i was there for a while, they just transfered me in, no questions asked.
At this particular location i was asked to join the club or no longer have access. Which i wouldn't have an issue with, but this owner mandated that i redo my contract and change my rates to match this particular club's. He said this was out of fairness to his members.
I declined to increase my rates and alter my current contract, and I have loast access to his gym.
I've been coast to coast with anytime and been a home member in how many states including California, New England, the Midwest... basically everywhere and this is the first time I've had an issue with an owner letting me use their gym or mandating a change in contract.
I'd stay away and look for a different club or a different...
