This place is out in the middle of nowhere. You park in a grass field. They have a booth that says you have to pay for parking (around $20) but it was closed so I'm not sure when you would pay or not. They don't do ticket cost refunds for anyone missing in your group but they do give you a voucher for that person to come another time. I suggest you buy your tickets and reserve a time slot online and do the waiver on line to save time. Even if you are not participating you need to fill out the waiver. They fit you with the harness. There gloves are a MUST, I believe some cost have that included and another doesn't . You have a safety lesson and practice course to start. They have about 8 level courses. You have to go in order from easy to hard. And it gets very hard as you level up! Wear closed tennis shoes, tighter clothes as if you are exercising, nothing in pockets, long hair pulled back or hanging. You don't want to get anything stuck. It's very rustic and in the woods. Lots of picnic tables. Lots of shade which is great. Twinkle lights at night for climbing. I suggest bringing bug spray. If you are allergic to any kind of bee or wasp sting bring medicine or use extra caution. I did see a few but it's expected outdoors in the woods. They have a main building that has drinks, ice cream, chips, soft pretzels and pizza slices. Other small items but I don't recall them all. It's a little expensive. 5 sport drinks cost about $26. They do not have a water fill station but you can buy a blue wrist band and they give you water. Restrooms are also at the main building. In the fort area there is a giant platform that splits into all the courses. This is where parents can sit and watch. My group of teenagers had a blast. At the end these were dirty, hot and exhausted. But they wanted to keep going. But the place closed at 6pm. The staff was very nice and helpful and worked their butt off BUT I felt they might have been a little short staffed. My two negatives opinions are. 1. Ticket price is a little high for 3 hours. If it was all day that would have been better so the kids had time to get through all the courses. 2. I felt they did not have nearly enough staff around all the courses to help, watch and monitor the kids on the courses. Especially when a child was struggling . We would love to come back but not sure we would do to cost and...
Read moreABSOLUTELY AWESOME! My sister gifted my son and I tickets for our birthdays and it was the BEST GIFT EVER! My son invited his best friend and we had a blast! It was a 45 minute drive from Ybor City and very easy to get to. There is ample parking. Everyone is very friendly and appear to love what they do. If you want to save some time, fill out the waiver at home, online. If not, you can do it on your phone, or on the tablets they have. The tickets my sister got us included all the rental equipment we needed: harnesses, clips and gloves. The equipment was in good condition and was clean- no funky smells lol. If you plan on bringing younger kids, (mine are 12 and 13) you may want to get them their own gloves because the smallest size is an adult small. Just make sure the gloves have some kind of grip. Once you place your harness on, the staff assists you in securing it. Then you'll receive instruction on how to use the equipment and apparatuses. They break it down in a very simple manner. My kids got it right way, although they later had some difficulty on one of the courses with one of the locking mechanisms, but all you have to do is shout out, "STAFF!" and they come running to help. They really have a great system there as far as staff goes. I felt that everything was super safe. They have a graduating, course system that one must follow in order to move on to more difficult courses. It's very simple to navigate. The courses are fun and challenging! During our 3 hour tour, we managed to complete 5 courses. The 3 hours doesn't start until you're fully geared up and ready to start. The staff writes the end time on your wristband, which I thought was great. I observed lots of groups having birthday parties in the pavilions available for rent. Outside food is permitted. If you purchase a blue band, Treehopers provide unlimited water bottles. The bathrooms were pretty clean considering there are only 2: 1 male, 1 female. There's a concession stand that sells soda, chips, pizza, and ice-cream. There are peacocks roaming the property. It's a very serene place to have loads of fun! I will definitely be returning and recommending to all of my friends and family! Thank you, Treehopers, for an amazing and...
Read moreI wouldn't be leaving this one star review if any of the managers even bothered to get back in touch with me after numerous attempts over the course of the past 6 weeks since my group went there and spent $1,900. They made me buy a ticket Because their rules state that I have to climb with my 6-year-old. That's fine except that I had another child there that I did not know couldn't climb and as I was up there with my one child, he was screaming bloody murder at me the entire time. Not only was it not pleasant but it was extremely stressful. As I said, I called numerous times and was supposed to get a call back. No one has called me back and as of right now I was speaking with one of the staff members named Mike and he proceeded to argue quite strongly with me about how ridiculous I am to even be asking for a refund because I should know that there aren't any refunds and basically trying to convince me that I'm out of my mind for even asking for one. I planned to take my son there for his birthday coming up and I would have happily accepted a credit instead of a refund. Now I will be shouting from the rooftops to everyone not to bother going to this location. Way to go Mike. My entire group will take their business elsewhere. UPDATE: Zack called me back to say all sales are final. Seems to me someone could have informed me of this many weeks ago before I wasted my time following back up repeatedly to try to get a hold of someone. I was led to believe that I would be able to have a reasonable conversation with someone who would then make a decision considering my situation and in the end they point to some policy that I was never informed of. NOTICE: TO ANYONE WITH SMALL CHILDREN, They require you to climb with any one child 6 and below. If you have even smaller children, they don't allow them to climb at all so you'll need another adult to be with them at all times. Basically single parents. You might as well find somewhere else to go. They are not single parent friendly And I would venture to say that they're not really quite family friendly either, having absolutely no consideration whatsoever outside of their "policy". P.S. I have yet to see...
