We have visited this indoor play area a few times hoping for a better experience each visit. The facility itself is nice and has potential, especially for rainy days, but the overall management and attention to safety need improvement.
The kids’ rock climbing wall is open but never supervised. When I asked a staff member who was at the front desk who was helping with it, she told me they just let parents handle it. I explained that I did not know how to use it safely and expected guidance since they are the professionals. Her response was that it has resistance so it will pull the kids up. I said I still did not feel comfortable putting my child on it, and she replied that she was doing something and could come help in a bit, but she never came.
It honestly seemed like she was not having a good day. Another staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful, but the one at the desk appeared annoyed by having to deal with parents and kids.
At the same time, staff run over quickly to stop kids from climbing up the slides, which I understand since that rule helps prevent collisions or injuries. What does not make sense is that the same level of concern is not applied to the climbing wall, where the risks are higher.
The bathrooms were dirty, there was no toilet paper, and the trash bags had fallen so garbage could not even be thrown away properly. For the price and the fact that this is a family center, cleanliness and proper supervision should be basic expectations. It is a fun concept, but the lack of consistency in staff attitude, safety oversight, and cleanliness really take away from...
Read moreWe attended the Easter event at Fort Rock Family Adventure and unfortunately found it to be poorly organized and overall disappointing—especially considering the nearly ticket price. One of the biggest letdowns was the timing. While the event advertised two hours of play time, kids were only allowed in the actual play area from 11:25 to 12:45. The event start time was delayed to accommodate families who arrived late, which was frustrating and unfair to those of us who arrived on time.
The pre-hunt activities felt mismatched for the age groups and didn’t engage the kids as intended. I don’t mind letting the younger kids participate in the egg hunt first, but there should have been enough eggs left for everyone. My child ended up with only five eggs and even asked if there were any more to find—which was disheartening.
After the egg hunt, the staff shifted their attention to another scheduled event and left parents to manage the rock climbing wall—an area that clearly requires trained supervision. This was not only disappointing but also a serious safety concern. Better scheduling and sufficient staffing would have made a significant difference.
To make matters worse, some staff members responded rudely when concerns were brought up. Thankfully, the manager did step in and handled the situation professionally, taking the time to listen and de-escalate.
While the venue itself has potential, this event did not meet expectations. I hope future events are better organized, properly staffed, and more respectful of families’ time...
Read moreI was very disappointed- very small & could be much better. The staff was very nice. You pay for a 2 hour play session but 20 minutes before the session ends they start telling kids and parents to clean up(playing it in a song & expecting it - is wrong either way) ● when we take our children to play & have fun it usually means theyre being rewarded for doing such a great job & listening at home - let us be the parents & the facility provide the fun thats paid for. Why would the KIDS that paid to PLAY have to clean up for your next session.... BEFORE the 2 hours of play are up?? MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE?? Maybe give 20 min after each session for the STAFF to straighten up before you start the next session so it doesnt cut in to the 2 hours of PAID playtime for the children?? You should include in the description that its 1 hr & 40 min. of playtime & that you will ask parents & children...
