Louie's Marketplace — Local services in San Diego

Maybe cuz it's in my neighborhood, but I still feel it's the best neighborhood market/convenience store around. Family owned and operated, and decent prices for a small place. Not to mention ALL the great things Mr. Louie, as I've come to call him, and his family do for the community. Just a couple examples is their Thanksgiving dinner every year for all that show, and no one walks away hungry. Also because Mr. Louie every year the Navy comes in with recruits and do a neighborhood cleanup of 54th St. from Euclid all the way to University. A welcoming little place with Sandwiches voted best in the City 2015, pizzas made fresh, and a smile from the owners who remember and appreciate ALL their customers. Where this store not in my neighborhood I would certainly go out of they way to come here just for the warm greetings and delightful small talk from weather to sports to you name it. It's family owned and they're very friendly and helpful. They are involved in the community. T1hey usual put on a community Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner that is free for all, especially the homeless. Louis market is part convenience store, produce stand and gift shop. I won't lie they have pretty good prices here. However, whoever's in charge of their quality control is not doing a good job because the majority of the tomatoes here had mold on them. I could only find 2 tomatoes that were not covered in mold. This is a health hazard...
