I've enjoyed going to church at this building for several years, and always loved it. But I was nervous when my mother-in-law moved into the neighborhood and started attending with us. I knew she would enjoy the Sunday meetings because of the beautiful music and inspiring messages about Jesus. I just didn't know if she'd feel comfortable with all the new people she would meet. I called this church; because I was needing some help for christmas, it's been a tough year. I actually got up the nerve to ask if ,anyone can help with one gift for each of my kids, I was under the impression they were gonna assist me. Then I spoke with the Bishop, he wasn't very caring or commpassionate. I felt like I was more of a bother to him. I felt like an idiot. I did make one mistake, he asked How many kids do I have; I said 4, then I said 5, He looked at me like I was lying (only 1 daughter came with me )truth is Bishop, I actually have 6 daughters and 1 son. I grew up attending this building when my parents moved to San Diego in 1975. This is an older building but I have many good memories from my years in the Grossmont Ward. This chapel is still actively in use and visitors are always welcome.
