The walkabout gives you an opportunity to enter a space with kangaroo and wallaby. They mostly ignore the humans so you can see them very clearly as they feed on grass just off the path. There are several females. We saw a wallaby as well. Fun for everyone. No significant wait time to enter the compound. Stay on the path, don't feed the animals, don't make loud noises, and all that. The other amazing place to visit here is the platypus exhibit. Expect long lines and possibly difficulty in seeing them. They are nocturnal animals so the indoor display is very dark, although if the animals are active, they tend to roam around quite a bit. We went back after it was dark outside and the keepers had turned on the lights to simulate daytime.
