San Eli Supermarket — Local services in San Elizario

I love the deals but have to admit I don't like the amount of fruit flies in that store. Well I didn't buy the fruit afterall. I was aiming for some pineapple but no thank you. I didn't need any other fruit but still noticed even the oranges, potatoes, and onions had them. Don't want to bring them into my home because they are a pest to get rid of. Now let's just talk about the good of the store. The meat including chicken and pork products are always fresh. If you find a no fresh package it is probably because a customer had it walked around the store and decided to place it back after awhile. But still you cannot beat the 10% off all meat products on Thursday those 10 cents for every dollar can really make a dent in the total. Plus the overall deals like lays chips or in store only reduced products really go a long way. I recommend going Wednesdays for fruits and veggies if you don't mind swatting fruit flies and then Thursday for the meats the morning shoppers get the best worms just saying. More to get from I was going to have to pay over 100 but I got it under 90. Plus still got Munster cheese on special!!!! Employees seem genuinely kind and caring. Used to love coming here for cakes, bread & fresh tortillas until yesterday we went to go buy a cake for my nephews birthday, my sister stayed at home watching the kids & I was video chatting with her on what cake to buy, got told by one girl I couldn't take pictures of the cakes, I understood but the thing was I wasn't taking pictures, so I called my sister instead. Then another lady came my way to tell me if I didn't stop taking pictures she was going to have to ask me to leave the store which I thought was super unnecessary being told twice in just a minute & even more unnecessary cause I had not taken any pictures. I didn't even know they had a sign since it was covered by Christmas decorations. Other than that it was a good store to go to, but it took yesterday to notice how rude & the lack of good customer service the staff...

They sell expired items such as baby food, vegetables, fruits, bread, cheesecake and these are just a few of what I have encountered. It is not limited to expired dates but I have seen bread, fruits and veggies with actual fuzzy green and white stuff being sold at full price. I am amazed no one has gotten ill and sued for their negligence.. Also do not order cakes here. I ordered one with 2 weeks time and picked it up before my daughters birthday party only to find that it was much smaller than what I had paid for, had no filling, and horrible decoration. They did not offer a refund and the cake was not what I had ordered or paid for. Horrible service! Do not shop here unless there is no other option and even then look closely at the products to make sure they are not spoiled or past...
