Just Goes to show what a bunch of scammers you are. When I told you about your copyright it was to help you, so you could get it straight before something happened. I was being the nice guy trying to help you. And it just goes to show you are a lier. I did not ridicule anything. I was being informative because at the time we still had a good relationship. You even gave me a cap as thanks. It was not the first time you saw me it was the last. What a lier you are. I gave you the instructions on installing the Edelbrock manifold and you ignored them so I had to pay someone else to do it right to stop oil leaks. And how about the bolt I gave you and told you to put in the intake and you ignored it so I had to take it back to you and get it done right? And how about where you split my vac hose to my brake booster and I lost brakes because of the leak? And how about you did not install the water thermostat I gave you and I had to change it myself and buy another one? You can lie all you want to but I have proof you are a dangerous bunch to do business with. Why after all this time? Because I am fed up with being the nice guy and scammers like you need to be exposed. They are really bad mechanics. Messed up my car's engine just doing simple upgrades. Kept it over three months and when I picked it up it died a mile down the road and had to be towed back because they screwed up the fuel pump. Idiots. They lie, and won't even listen when you can prove them wrong. And the girl that is supposedly a race driver is the worst of the bunch, rude and ignorant. I took my grand-daughter's car there for starter problem. They installed an expensive starter. Then said it was the fly-wheel. I took it to the transmission shop across the street and he fixed it with Loctite. The starter bolt holes were rounded out. Nothing wrong with the fly-wheel when she traded it two years later. These people are so incompetent. They are ignorant scammers. Do not do business with these people. Save yourself some money and grief. If I could give them minus stars I would. Oh and what happened to all the bad reviews that use to be on here? They paid to have them removed. Believe me there...
Read moreI took a perfectly running car to this establishment to have it Dyno tested. The engine was freshly built and had no issues prior to taking it there. When I picked it up at barely ran and the power steering didn't work. On further inspection we found the serpentine belt was off and one of the bolts into the engine block was broken. They tried to blame it on the installer of the serpentine kit and said the bolt was cross threaded and couldn't be taken out, they refused to fix it and refused to provide me a ride home, a friend had dropped me off. I arranged for another mechanic to pick up the car and I and take it back to their shop and inspect the car. IIwatched as they did and the broken, "cross threaded", bolt came out easily and on further inspection the mechanic found damage to the oil pan and starter shroud that wasn't there before. It was obvious that someone drove my car while in Bumbera's care and caused the damage. To add insult to injury they Dyno tested the engine after the damage was done while the belt was off and overheated the engine requiring me to have the top end rebuilt at great additional expense. Bumbera himself told me the engine was a "turd", his words, and that I needed to let him build a real motor for it for $15-20k. I called to let them know what we found and they denied it could've been anyone there.
I waited quite awhile before posting this but was recently reminded of the entire event when someone recently asked me about this shop. I've known others with good results from the shop so I'm certain they have some competent people. Mistakes happen, but their unwillingness to accept any responsibility for the damages to my car makes them a company I won't recommend or do further...
Read moreUnfortunately this shop can be great for wealthy customers who have a big expensive job but not that great for customers like me that have a smaller less expensive job to do. I had my 1950 Ford Deluxe sitting at their shop waiting for a fuel tank and fuel lines cleaning job for over 2 years. I’m guessing that my vehicle job required was not very profitable for them since they ignored my vehicle for more than two years. They closed their location and moved without letting customers like me know about it. I finally found out as I pass by the shop and noticed a sign for sale on the property. I contact the shop and got my vehicle towed to another shop. Gear one auto care took over my vehicle and fixed it in less than one day. I’m not usually negative but I DO NOT RECOMMEND Bumbera’s performance shop to anyone that has smaller mechanical jobs. They used to be great many years ago but they gotten worse on the last five years. When you hear their employees expensing their thoughts as you’re vehicle being a piece of s... on several occasions you know they don’t want your business. They never touched my vehicle since all the screws had oxidation and locked. I don’t see how they claim they flushed anything or touched anything. I’m very disappointed with this shop. I have respect for the manager and owner but I sincerely think that their crew of technicians are ether laying or just lazy towards smaller jobs. Thanks anyway and hope the bed to...
