Update: Cory Moore called me from my RSVP number and has offered to give me a refund. I commented that I wished that guests are told that we are going to get charged for anything launched over the agreed pre-paid amount. And that this system counts upwards of how many times the launcher was activated, rather than this system being set up like a debit system like LA clays/other clay shooting clubs.
Otherwise, the food was excellent, and I would like to thank Cory for reaching out to me and us being able to work out this situation.
I'm updating my experience to 3/5 from the original 1/5.
I went yesterday for the night shoot and while I had a good time shooting, it was ultimately soiled by either the staff or this place's policy.
I pre paid $55 cash for the night shoot 100 clays and dinner and went with 2 other friends, which did the 100 and 50 clay package respectively. The cashier took my credit card, which I thought was collateral in case I ever lost their target launcher system key card.
A few of their launchers were broken, or didn't launch the clays properly yet still ate my credit. Stations 18, 15, 5 are the most notorious ones, among a few others. We pressed them a few times to make sure they were actually not working rather than just a clay shattering before it launched.
At the end of shooting 250 shells total for all of us (because that's all the ammo we brought), our card read 268 clays dispensed. There were at least 18 dud clays.
I asked my girlfriend to get my credit card back while I loaded the car, and she came out holding a receipt that my credit card was charged for the 18 clays over.
I went back to the office and asked them why I was charged, and asked for a refund or even a gift card because we were not able to shoot 250 clays until the card had read 268. I told the cashier that some of the stations, my girlfriend had pressed the button to launch the clays multiple times with no clays coming out. She responded that they do not issue gift cards or refunds, she had to charge what was shot over on the card, and that we should've walked back to the office to let them know which launchers were broken, and also to tell my girlfriend to not press the button to launch the clays if they weren't coming out.
In the end I was charged $0.65 per clay and a $0.20 per clay surcharge for shooting less than 50 clays... (~$15.30)When I did in fact shoot 250 clays, and was not told this penalty that I would be charged if the card key read over 250...
Read moreA very professional outfit set in a beautiful location. Multiple stations to choose from. Each station is very easy to operate by push-button control. Each button on the control represented a different trajectory the target would come from. Target flight path was marked clearly on a chalkboard at each station. There was also a system that would automatically launch targets for solo shooters. Costs were tracked automatically by a credit type system accessed by a card issued by them. Friendly staff are very helpful. They have rentals ammunition ear protection available everything you need to shoot. I suggest this place for all levels...
Read moreI went to Moore N Moore today with two of my friends. We were all novices and to be honest a little nervous about shooting for the first time. The staff at Moore N Moore was super friendly and took great care of us.
They set us up with a lesson with John Fowler. He was so great! He had us hitting targets within minutes of picking up the shotguns. He was very patient, taught us how to be safe but in a really easy going way. Do yourself a favor and book a lesson with John Fowler.
I'll be back again and again to...
