I had a very uncomfortable and upsetting experience with the Parts department at this car dealership today. When I first got in touch with them I spoke with a lady named Tiffany about our intentions of buying an automatic transmission for the vehicle we are building for one of our customers. I asked what the timeline would be to get one of these and what was their return policy on this specific item. She told me it could be ready next day and that the return policy was similar to any other part as long as it wasn’t used nor installed. I drove back the same day to make the purchase. Next day the transmission arrived so I took the time again to pick it up. Got back to our shop and removed the top cover of the transmission crate and noticed that someone wrote a note on the torque converter. Took a pic of it just in case but didn’t bother me much because I thought that probably the car dealership it came from had it reserved for another customer. We unloaded it and had it at the shop for a few days. Our customer decided to go on a different route on the vehicle we are building for him meaning that we would have to return this transmission. Went back to the dealership today to return it and everything was going well until I told the person who was processing the return to be aware of the fact that someone had written that note on the torque converter. Went to the back of the shop to unload the transmission. Suddenly a few different people started showing up and started to take a look carefully. They asked about the note on the torque converter and I explained that it was there when we got it and that I had made Tiffany and the gentleman at the front desk aware of this with the picture I took when I first saw it at the shop (I attached it below). I asked them to call the dealership they got it from in front of me to verify all this but they kept saying that they needed to take this matter to their superior and that unfortunately he wasn’t there today. They probably have been seeing many weird situations of people trying to return parts that have been used before so I understand their concern but they made me feel very uncomfortable and no one was professionally enough to take the reins of this situation and offer clarity or solutions in situ. After all I had to take the transmission back with me and they said that they would get back to me. I would’ve never thought that I’ll be seeing myself dealing with this situation when buying from such a reputable GM dealership. I personally think that people are getting quite sloppy at their jobs and not performing at 100% especially when in this industry parts go from hand to hand. I think they should’ve inspected the transmission before calling me and make me go pick it up to make sure it arrived to their standards in the...
Read moreBuying a car is painful. I had been looking a while and had a really bad experience with another dealer. I almost stopped looking when I saw the car I was looking for at Chuck Nash. It even took me a few days to contact them I so dreaded it & was afraid it would be be as bad as before. So I worked up my courage, did my research, and practiced how I would deal with them even! That's how much I did not look forward to going! However I was quite surprised when my call was accepted and handed promptly, professionally and kindly. After my initial call the appointment with the salesman was set. He called to thank me within like 20 minutes! It was that way all the way through. I kept waiting for the deception and terrible service and horrible treatment but to my surprise it never came! My salesman was John Rodriguez. He didn't start selling cars yesterday! He was very patient with me and addressed all my concerns. I am so glad to have worked with him. He's the best! At my initial appointment to see the car I didn't take my husband. I fully expected disappointment again. Like the price advertised wasn't the real price or similar! At this initial visit the sales manager came over and introduced himself to me....I thought oh yeah....here we go again! But no, it was AMAZING! I really liked the car but it was 1 hour away from our house and work. I wanted my husband to see it so we had to go back several days later on Saturday. We did the numbers at my initial visit so I was really nervous to have to wait. I worried if they would honor our agreement. But my husband had to drive it too! So we go on Saturday and it was seamless! No surprises. Still patient as ever. And no changes to my trade in offer or anything! Whew! Finally I relaxed and started enjoying myself! I Took my new car home that day! We got financing at the dealership paid our down payment and it was a done deal. I had shopped the rates and their rate was 1% higher so not bad and with a very well known credit union that I already do business with so that reassured me. Also they detailed it and put in some gas for me! I will definately refer my friends and family and we are going back for my husband's car in a year or so. The sales manager even called me the Monday after and thanked me for my business. These people are real, sincere and they're good. Also, when we were there on Saturday some customers come by thanking John again for their new car! I thought seriously?! But now I get it. Rest assured the finance department is going to try to sell you a warranty. That's just what they do! I'm 62 and this is hands down the best experience I've ever had buying a car. Call and ask for John Rodriguez. You will not regret...
Read moreI bought a 2023 Chevy Silverado and not even a week later, the check engine light came on. After being told from the dealer that their vehicles go through a thorough inspection before they place them on the lot. I took it to AutoZone, where it showed an Idle Control System issue, so I immediately brought it back to the dealership. I dropped the truck off on Thursday and by Monday, I still hadn’t received any updates. On Tuesday, I was finally told a part had been ordered — but when I asked what part or what was wrong, I was told they didn’t know yet. How do you order a part if you haven’t diagnosed the problem? When I pressed for answers, I was told no diagnostic testing had even been done, even though a part had supposedly been ordered. I asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes, only to be told everyone was “very busy” but that I’d get a call by the end of the day. Of course, no one called. After multiple attempts to get updates, I was finally told several different stories — that it was faulty wiring, or maybe a camera, or possibly a software issue. Eventually they said it was the front camera and that it would be replaced. But let’s be honest — a front camera issue wouldn’t cause a check engine light. It feels like they’re trying to cover up a bigger problem instead of addressing the real issue. On top of that, I went to my bank because I noticed the car I traded in was still on my account and said payoff reversal. I found out Chuck Nash never paid it off — the check they sent was retrieved to maker, meaning the payment was pulled back. So now I’m stuck with a new truck that’s already having problems and a trade-in that still isn’t paid off and apparently already sold to carmax. It’s frustrating that I had to push and demand answers just to get basic communication. I’ve completely lost confidence in the integrity of this dealership and the vehicles they sell. I’m currently waiting to speak with the General Manager about unwinding this deal, and if nothing is answered I will be going to the owner himself, but I wanted to post this review to warn others before they go through the...
