This is an out of the way trailhead and parking lot. You can enter it while driving only when travelling South on the Richmond Parkway. By bike, you can enter from the Bay Trail - which runs (in both travelling) directions on the west sidewalk of the Richmond Parkway.
It's a nice place to linger - if you don't mind the noise of the Richmond Parkway. There's shade, a public restroom, water, and you can take a short walk out into Wildcat Marsh - with interpretive signs.
