Nepali Community Center — Local services in San Pablo

recently visited the Nepalese Community Center in Richmond, California, and had a really good experience. The environment was welcoming, and it was great to see how the community comes together to support one another. I enjoyed meeting kind people, sharing stories, and being part of a space that values our culture and identity. The programs and activities were engaging, and I appreciate the effort the organizers put into everything.

The Nepali Community Centre at 369 Chelsey Avenue, Richmond is truly a gem—not just for the local Nepali community, but for anyone interested in culture, connection, and community spirit. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with warmth, hospitality, and a genuine sense of belonging.

The facility itself is clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed to accommodate a variety of events—from cultural festivals and language classes to yoga sessions, senior gatherings, and youth programs. As resident manager of Rolling Hills Apartments and their neighbor; for 2 years I've experienced music, joy, prayers...and on special occasions, awesome food. (Side note & credit where credit is due, the owners authorized use of electricity for some time, based upon my request/recommendation.)

Tonight I experienced bleacher seating of the RSA v NEPAL. Big screen, speakers and a great turnout.
