“Paths Vacations” called me two days in a row. Yesterday they called me around 4:50 PM and I was in the ER so I handed the phone to my husband who eventually declined once they were trying to make you pay OVER $300 upfront over the phone for their “special promotion” for some vacation. What we initially filled out was to win a free stay, as to why now they ask you to pay upfront is odd. Either way, we declined. TODAY I get another call from Paths! I asked why are you calling me I just spoke to you all yesterday, do you not keep a log of who you contact? The representative said they do, asked me if I took advantage of the promotion I said no he asked why and I said because you wanted over $300 upfront on the phone…. The point was to win a free stay not a discounted stay and for this reason we said no. He tried to ask me AGAIN how much o make a year etc and I shut it down. I was already asked these questions not only on the form, but by the rep who called me yesterday. This company is just farming for your information, and probably selling it to other companies. I asked yesterdays rep how many of these spots to they give out and he said 5. Hard to believe, they also called my husband and my coworker which is why I think they are just farming your information . My coworker thinks they are trying to get you to buy a time share…. But who knows! Anyways DO NOT fill anything out by texting the number you see on the photo attached to this review.

That’s fine that it’s a promotion for a discount, but NO means NO. It is a complete sentence so I’m unsure why I would be getting a call again today, and the representative not having logged info that I was already contacted which should be a concern for your company. I will not be removing my review as it is my honest experience with not just one but two of your representatives that called. My review is based on the interaction with the representatives and not the resort itself. To add, aren’t you supposed to disclose the call is recorded from the beginning of the phone call? Because the first rep disclosed this halfway through the call and the second representative NEVER disclosed this. I know it is different state to state which is why your representatives need to be informed. Where I am, under CT general statues 53a-189 ; it is illegal to record a telephone conversation with out the consent of all parties involved. I appreciate your offer for the promotions, please log in your system not to contact me going forward. Please discard my info. Thank you.
EDIT UPDATE* 7/23 - I was called two times in a row, previously I asked for my number to be removed from their list. It’s clear they...
Read moreWith 2 small children this place was nice to come to because everything is right there. There’s 2 playgrounds, plenty of indoor and outdoor pools to choose from and activities for the kids. I was a little disappointed that the west pool “Oasis” wasn’t open. Especially considering it was a Saturday? A huge con would be the fact that a lot of the rooms are located on a “second floor” sos you go into your door for your room and then have to climb a flight of stairs and they give y out a very janky gate to put in front of those stairs, as a family place it’s definitely a down fall to their floor layout. The room we got was nice and clean, but for what people apparently spend a night you’d think they could afford a shower liner. Your shower has the world’s most incredibly cheap curtain that doesn’t pull all the way around? It’s not even really water resistant so we had water all over our bathroom. Again though, the amenties are nice when y out have small children. I’d give this place a lot higher star rating, but the tour is what would make this place a 0/10 if it was based on that alone. We were perfectly aware of what the tour was, we knew it’d be a timeshare tour, that a sales person would work their magic and how long it would be. Now our tour guide was so nucsc but for over an hour he kept saying the very same things over and over. We understood the point system, we understood what we’d be paying for our trips, it was the guy the comes over and sells us the package itself that rubbed us the wrong way. He was answering our questions to respond, he was not listening to what we were really asking. We were asking questions and you would’ve thought we asked for his first born child. We had even gone as far to choose a package and began signing or names when our toddler started crying (for a family place you should understand that 90 minutes is a very long time for a 2 year old.) he became very frustrated and bothered due to it. We were trying to console her as he was demanding our licenses and to continue finish the paper work and rushing us. We didn’t want to work with someone so aggressive so we ended up saying never mind and we didn’t wish to continue any longer. He ended with “luxury isn’t something everyone is able to afford, so I understand.” Insinuating that we couldn't afford the packages anyway. I’m a nurse and my patented is an engineer, that is by no means the reason why we chose to Jo longer continue. It was his aggression and attitude that deterred us...
Read moreMy family went to story land where I filled out a winning contest for a stay at steele hill resort. I later got a call from Steele Hill vacation club stating we were selected to take an exclusive promotion of 3 days/2 nights staying at their resort for a discounted rate I think it was about 80$. In order to receive the stay, my family and I are required to take a 90-120 mins tour at the resort; at the end of the stay. As far as the resort, it was beautiful and a nice place to stay with the family, but the tour was very much a disappointment. The salesman was very kind and did his job went over all of the information with us for the timeshare and showed us around the property, but he knew as soon as my family and I sat down that we were not interested in paying for the timeshare he was just doing his job. We were only there to fulfill our side of the promotion deal by coming to the tour so we wouldn’t be charged the full price of the resort stay. But when it came to the end of the tour and the manager came over to go over the numbers and see if we were interested that’s when things were awful. We obviously declined because I was not interested and personally I don’t see how it saves money, I see how they make it seem like you save money but personally I think it’s just a scam. The manager was very off putting when I declined the offer. “Well, this is for smart people who want to save money ” it felt very rude and left me feeling awful because he said it very angrily and immediately got up and left the table we were sitting at. If I wasn’t so shocked by his reaction I probably would have called him out for his behavior. But unfortunately I didn’t get the chance and that is why I felt the need to...
