My husband and vacation in Captiva and have visited CROW many times. We love this place. Not only do they help rehabilitate wounded birds and animals, they have a wonderful Visitors Center where you can see exhibits about native species. They also offer educational and fun presentations about their current "guests" who may be there temporarily while recuperating or, sadly, may have to live there with permanent infirmities. I got to hold Bashful the possum after learning many interesting things about possums in general. I think it was more fun for me than for Bashful, but I loved it. Read moreI would highly recommend visiting the Clinic for Rehabilitation Wildlife (CROW), if you are interested in wildlife safety, health and rehab. They have an Educational Center with various reptiles, a live viewing screen where various wildlife animals may be treated by the veterinarian staff for an illness or injury. They also have an educational lecture and tour of the clinic and rehab animals. I was able to see a two day baby tortoise, a 15 year old and an unknown age adult one. I took him to the Humane Society but they would not even look at him as a matter of fact they were very rude they sent me to a veterinarian never gave me an address nothing no help so I took him too another veterinarian and they called Crow Rehabilitation and that too took the little raccoon but he died he didn't make it maybe if the Humane Society would have helped him he might have made it I will not give another dime to the Humane Society...
