I felt so sad walking in because the structure makes you believe you are about to enter an old world beauty, what you enter is something a tad bizzare. There is no tabernacle and the altar is on the floor near the front doors. After much searching we found Him tucked away behind a wall. It made me sad. But it was a pretty little area we just happened to find that did have kneeled at least. I had no desire to attend mass here though. The woman (I think a nun, you couldn't tell) at tge gift shop said it was worth seeing. It really wasnt, you can skip it even if you enjoy architecture, it's been wreckovated. They have pictures in the lobby of the visitors center of what it used to look like, now that would have been worth seeing! The gift shop is over priced, but I did get my St. Benedict crucifix there. I hate to say it wasn't worth the trip but you can go and see...
