A very nice store but it definitely seems like it could be a little larger for the amount of merchandise they have. The staff here are some of the finest on campus very friendly and efficient.

They have everything you need, kinda... Like they have what you need, but no variety. It's a final option for your academic needs. It's very expensive though. The only good time to go is honestly whenever they have their sales. Otherwise, I'd recommend just staying away from it unless you wouldn't mind paying a little more for stuff.

Now that I have your attention, UCSC has a huge housing crisis. The school over admits students and impacts classes, then doesn't know where to put these students, so a lot of students here are homeless. Parking is atrocious in Santa Cruz, and UCSC won't let students stay overnight unless they pay a pretty penny, so they're struggling. The school additionally outsourced jobs to build a massive housing structure that will allegedly be used to house all of these students they over enrolled, but the company that they hired isn't very reputable or trusted, since they build for Trump and since they barely pay their workers.

Unless UCSC makes some changes, I would stay far away from this school if I were you. Go to a CSU. You'll get a much more...

To the staff who racial profiled and followed me and my friends during our visit to the store I got a few things to say. First, I suggest you treat people with respect instead of branding them as thieves. Second, don't follow me and my friends around simply because you think we are up to something. The fact that you kept an eye on us but not the rest of the clients who were also at the store says a lot about the type of person you are. Third, before accusing us of stealing I suggest you have the information needed to back ur statements up. The staff accused my friend of stealing a jacket he had just purchased. Not to mention my friend had his recipe with him and showed the staff members that he has just gotten the jacket. Also the ringer who had helped my friend denied seeing him buy the jacket. This was truly absurd and should never happen regardless. Tip of advise... Don't judge a book...

The only real neighborhood bookstore left functional in Santa Cruz since Logos had closed down. Only place where you can get a Financial Times or Art Forum in Santa Cruz. Used and new books; massive children's section and even a foreign language section...Hosts author's events and many community events regularly. Sells local and a couple of national dailies, magazines and specialized journals; stationary, book related items, calendars, agenda and strangely, socks. Reader's club members get special discount s and store credit. Very personable and...
