The Color Bar — Local services in Santa Fe

I have only great things to say about The Color Bar. Addy is the best! She truly is an expert when it comes to color and balayage. From the first visit, she made me feel comfortable and really spent time talking to me about plans for my hair color -- in the near term and over time. I loved how she blends highlights and lowlights to create a blond(ish) effect that feels natural and grows out nicely. She's so much fun to talk to, which makes the foil application and processing time fly by. And she offers Saturday appointments, which I needed for my work schedule. So bad so bad so bad!!! Because it is not in my nature to want to hurt other people I am not going to name the stylist I saw who left me with highlights bad enough to prompt me to write this poor review of Color Bar. Suffice to say, I was horrified by the awful results of my hair. I mean clearly she messed up big time and she knew it! I felt cheated of time and money, and was hurt by the owner’s blame shifting when she wanted to make me pay to fix it because I’d had to cancel a prior appointment. I recently had a haircut at The Color Bar Santa Fe with Nikki and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. Nikki is an incredibly talented stylist who took the time to really understand what I wanted and delivered a haircut that exceeded my expectations.

Not only is Nikki an expert in her craft, but she is also a pleasure to talk to and made the whole experience so enjoyable. She provided great service and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire haircut.
