What a gift 30A Vet is.
When my family first started going to Dr. Kelly, it was right after she bought the practice about 6 years ago. It all started right after my parents had moved to the gulf and our family golden retriever, Max, was having a violent allergic reaction. They looked up the nearest vet and thank heavens that was 30A Vet. Despite being off the clock, someone picked up the phone and offered that they bring Max right over. They took care of our Max that evening without hesitation and with such skill and compassion that we kept coming back.
This was just one of so many instances where we’ve seen the heart, intuition, and skill of Kelly and her team. Since that first visit, they have gone above and beyond to take care of our family canines, including Max and his little goldendoodle brother, Ollie.
Recently, we found a lump that we soon found out was a mast cell tumor on our sweet, 11-year-old Max. It took him away from us too quickly. In this hard time, Kelly and her team were there for us, walking us through our options and showing us ways to make Max as comfortable as possible in his difficult final days. While we had to see Max across the rainbow bridge, we are so grateful for the love and compassion Kelly and the technician, Julia, showed in Max's final moments. As we find our way forward, I know we’ll always be with 30A Vet with Ollie and any pets to come. Thank you to this...
Read moreWe could not be more grateful for the staff at 30a Vet. We called early morning on Father's Day with an apparent leg injury in our cat Buster and Dr. Brawner said she would see us immediately that morning. I was there with my 3-year-old son for three hours while they examined Buster to find an injury and abscess in his leg. Dr. Brawner and the staff kept us up to date with each examination and even helped to entertain my 3-year-old during the wait. Buster has FIV and as the abscess struggled to resolve over the week we saw 30a Vet again for another emergency visit where they located two additional infections. During this time Buster was already scheduled for a teeth cleaning, which went smoothly and helped to prevent further problems. Because of his FIV we were so concerned with his ability to recover and everyone at 30a Vet cheered him along, took him in for emergency visits after hours, and helped our family learn what to do to keep him healthy at home during recovery. To compound all of this, our family is in the midst of a relocation states away and Dr. Brawner worked to schedule us in to make sure Buster was healthy and ready for the big move––he is on his way to feeling much better and the infections are subsiding! We cannot recommend 30a Vet enough. You and your furry loved ones will be cared for in astronomical ways....
Read moreWhile on vacation, our dog had a minor emergency, and we were so thankful that we found 30A Vet! It’s rare that every interaction, with every employee, leaves you impressed, but that’s just what happened here. We called first thing in the morning to hope he could be seen, and their front desk staff member answered (actually a bit earlier than they were scheduled to open), and worked him in immediately for us. She was friendly and understanding when we arrived, as was the vet tech that assisted us. Finally, Dr. Jami Swift quickly assessed the situation and provided a plan of action. She also let us know that we could call later with any questions or issues, and made us feel very comfortable with the whole process. We were in and out faster than expected, and the invoice was very reasonable. Our dog is over 100lbs and terrified of strangers (which can make for nightmarish vet visits), but by the time we left he was quite at ease and even taking treats out of Dr. Swift’s hand. She’s one of those rare veterinarians that has a wealth of knowledge, is great with animals, and great with people to boot! It was truly an amazing vet experience, and we’d most definitely make this our boy’s place if we lived in the area. Instead, it’s great to know he has a vet here the next time...
