The employee who helped with the transaction was busy so another (possibly a manager) assisted me. She informed me I was charged for a different plant category (herbs) and therefore owed Prikett's more money since I was originally charged too little. I returned the plants for a refund. I've managed in retail for decades and when the error is on the company's side, and especially once the transaction is completed the customer benefits from the error but is informed the pricing will be corrected for future purchases and they are receiving a good deal for this purchase. This place is horrible. They literally followed my husband and I around the whole time to the point it was obvious they thought we were going to steal or something. We recently started out yearly garden and needed a couple things but we ended up walking out. And on top of that they made us stand 6 feet apart from one another! We live in the same household and I explained that and she literally said “I don’t care.” I know this is a hard time for everybody but it’s even harder when you want to do something nice with your family and garden but you feel racially profiled in the town you grew up in. My wife likes to stop here when we are in the area. This is the first time I joined her to look around. What struck me was the vibrancy of color coming from the plants and flowers. It is like a storm has passed and the sunlight reflects off the remaining rain drops in the sky, causing a beautiful rainbow emanating in a beautiful prism of colors. The people that work here seem to really enjoy helping people with advice and trying to help them with plants and flowers that are not doing so well after they get them home.
