Muncy's Supermarket — Local services in Sarcoxie

**I’m editing my review to include the sanitary issues in the store. I was just in for a couple of things, and there was a nasty off-leash chihuahua running around with a couple of people. PETS DO NOT BELONG IN GROCERY STORES. Absolutely disgusting.

Has gone downhill since it became Muncys. A far cry from the great little store that Cadwells was. Items are very expensive. Like more overpriced than goods at a gas station to give you an idea. But it’s the only grocery store in Sarcoxie so they get away with it. Also the quality of most items is very poor. Meat is always sketchy, dairy may or may not be spoiled, very poor produce section full of anemic food they should’ve been pulled. Items out of the freezer section are bad as well, I’ve gotten 3 different things of ice cream, all were freezer burned, as well as other packaged items that turned out to be freezer burned as well once I got home and opened them. Friendly workers, well stocked and clean. Only issues we have is more than once we have got Chocolate milk in the gallon jugs and it is spoiled before the expiration date. The half gallons is all we will buy from there now. Also the meat department has went down hill the past few months since the new meat guy took over and the older guy isn't there anymore. They had a great sale yesterday so I did buy some meat, but that's only because I know it was freshly cut that day. Otherwise I'll just go to Walmart to get my meats. Other than that it is a...

Muncy's is a great little family store. It has all your groceries needs and they often discount meats and some vegetables. They're always friendly call you by name most of the time. The store is clean. There is one in Sarcoxie on the main drag and also one in Lockwood, I tend to visit it more often. Right now they have a special on baking goods.
