An approximately "45-day, multi-dealer, multi-private seller" search for a used car that was suitable for us, ended at HZ Motors in Saugus. The earlier parts of the search involved several vehicles that were obvious clunkers or lemons that were alleged to be NOT clunkers/lemons; and, involved a couple of stereotypical, high-pressure, "shady used car dealer" types. At HZ, we found the right car, at the right price, in good condition, for sale. We knew it, the moment we saw it. We were handed the keys by a man who I believe is the owner's father, and were told to "check it out" (unaccompanied test drive). It was perfect for us. We arranged to buy it, a day later. The owner is a "no-sales-pressure" type of guy (name, Elvir) who was honest & honorable in his dealings with us; patient; answered all questions and concerns; (did I mention no pressure whatsoever?); went over-and-above the call of duty (to correct a silly error that we [the buyers] had made with the title); and who made the whole process simple, almost relaxing.....and utterly pleasant. If we could have bought a car on just a handshake and a smile, nothing written, Elvir is exactly the kind of guy who we'd do business with in that fashion....
Read moreI just purchased a 2013 RDX from HZ Motors. The owner is an excellent person to work with. When we test drove it the 2nd time, the day we purchased it, we noticed a burning smell and a loud noise while driving. The owner immediately said what was wrong and that he would fix what was needed. When I came back from the bank with the check, he had the car up on the lift and showed me the faulty part and the underside of the car. He had nothing to hide, a real stand up guy. We just got the car yesterday after being there a week and my wife couldn't be happier. Thank you for a great car buying experience and a great...
Read moreBought my car from HZ Motirs. A 2006 Honda Pilot (7,000) in October 2022, 3 months after many issues happens. I had to get new breaks, AC, alternator, battery all in first year. I drove the car very little, only to school, work & the gym. Then in June 2023 it started to not drive steady and then I was told the rear suspension has failed and rusted out. It would cost 1,500-3,000 to fix and I don’t have that money. It’s common in that year of Hondas to have that issue and I wasn’t told about it. Now I’m 17 years old in my senior year with a broken car in...
