K Pub Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Saugus

I have to start by saying I have been looking forward to trying this place for a while... even told the manager this as she seated us. It went down hill from there.... It took almost 2 hours for all meals to arrive (4 adults and 2 kids), with only 6 tables filled in the dining area. It started with being brought a milk that has expired and took over an hour to get a glass of water to replace it. I would have walked out if it had just been my spouse and me. At one point we thought our food was coming over and the person bringing it, told us to grab one of the plates from her with attitude. It caught us off guard and we did but it wasn't our order... when our food started to arrive, only half did with 1 order being wrong (chicken fingers instead of chicken teriyaki). It took almost 30 more minutes for the rest to arrive. At this point 1/2 the table was finished we asked to speak with the manager. We wanted the items that arrived late to be removed and she said if you eat it you are paying for it. Fine, but we weren't going to... then she proceeded to say with a condescending tone that it was very busy. It was clear they were short staffed. My friend proceeded to get upset with the manager due to her tone which she said she didn't have. As a manager and in the service industry, the customer is always right especially when no one being rude to her, we just wanted to express our frustration with the night and have items removed from the bill. I can understand why they are short staffed if that is the person in charge. We have gone to their other restaurant Oye and never had an issue. When asked about speaking with the owner she told us go write a review on yelp! We left our waitress a good tip since in the end there was only so much she could do. I am 44 and this was the worst experience I had in a restaurant. As for the food, I ordered the rangoon pizza and a side of fries ($8 for a small side), both good. If you are on the fence I would say do not go until they are better staffed or avoid and go to another Asian fusion restaurant,...

Me and my girlfriend eat out regularly so we were looking forward to KPub opening especially being so close to home. I figured it would become a regular spot for us for drinks and food. We went for the first time this past weekend and I wish I could say we had a positive experience and found our new regular spot but unfortunately we didn't. We were seated by the hostess and reviewed the menu while waiting for our waiter/waitress. We sat there for 20 mins without a waiter ever attending to us. Now mind you, they're only operating at half capacity, seating every other table due to covid. So there was 6/7 tables in the front of the restaurant max. So it's not like it was a full house and they were just overwhelmed. Also they just cleaned the table before we were seated so obviously a server just cashed out the previous party and had it cleaned for the next party. We watched a couple of servers walk back and forth attending to other patrons while we just sat there with nothing but menus on our table. Gradually becoming frustrated as time went on we decided, after 20 mins, to just leave and take our business elsewhere. I spoke to a manager on the way out. She was very apologetic. If we ever go back I'll update my review to hopefully something more positive but I doubt we'll be returning any time...

The food was good, it is an interesting menu. But our server was the absolute worse. Unfortunately I didn't get her name and she was lucky that the bar tender and one of the other servers helped her out or this review would be even more negative. I'm not usually mean to servers as a former server myself I know how hard it is to please customers but this girl really took the cake. She took our order for drinks and took 15 min to return with 1 cocktail 2 cokes and a water. We order apps that we specifically said we wanted first and ended up waiting over 25 min for and was delivered by runner and no sooner did they drop apps our entrees came out. Not ONCE did anyone come over to see how things were. We actually had to go to bar and order more drinks. The waitress came back picked up plates and almost took the cocktail that was not finished and gave me a dirty look when I told her my husband wasn't done yet. Now I know that you can get in the weeds but if you are you should tell the table instead of ignoring them. I don't know if we will be back. Too raw about the service. Like it was the worse I have...
