We got a quarter beef processed here (1 full beef between 3 people 1 half and 2 quarter). Hanging weight was 227 lbs per quarter and only got 110 lbs of meat with 1 quarter and much less with another. Received a cut sheet from them and I was short 8 packaged of steaks/burger from their own package cut sheet. For every 100 lbs hanging weight, you can normally expect to get 71 or so lbs of finished, and we got less than 50. It was also the most expensive quarter I've ever purchased at over $1080 and by far the least amount of meat I have ever gotten. We got ripped off and would like to warn others not to use this business as we had a very poor experience. The meat that we got was also very crunchy and full of ice crystals when picked up. I do not think they will be lasting long in the freezer before they are burnt. I get a quarter of beef at least yearly and this is by far the worst and the least I have ever received.
Also beware: They send you a text with what you owe and then when you go to pay, they tack on 4% for using a card without even telling you. Then, when you request it be removed, they tell you that they are not going to pay for you to go on your "scheels vacations." They said they will add that the price is a cash price when they send out texts from now on but it is "common sense" and everyone knows that (according to then).
In my opinion, the owners were very rude and disrespectful. When asking if they found my missing packages (by giving them a day to look into things after being on the phone an hour the night before), they told me not to call again or they would call the cops. This was after some arguments with the owner. They told me to bring the beef back but then the next day said thatd not an option anymore.
We will not be using this establishment again. Very nice building, but customer service and quality was terrible.
Reply to owner... no yelling was done in store, just some conversation and disagreement. No apologies were ever offered. Not all the beef was received and the offer was not to bring it back that night as they were going to look to see if the beef was still at...
Read moreI had a similar experience to Allyn Plattner, got a 1/4 cow from here and it was 187 lbs hanging weight. I received 86 lbs of trim which is WAY under what it should have been. I only got 3 packs of sirloinds, T bones, and Ribeyes for a 1/4 cow which is also not rnearly enough. I knew the other family who got the other 3/4, and Jenninges gave them way more for their quarters than mine- more T bones, more ribeye, more Sirloin, and more of basically everything else as well. Basic math and management is clearly off as it should be bare minimum that all 1/4 cows have the same or very similar yield- these were way off. I needed to go back to the person who got the other 3/4 as they were kind enough to to correct the issue. The people at Jenniges were also not receptive to their clear mistake when working with the other family who told them they messed up. I would avoid them and go to any other...
Read moreI am writing this upset with the parameters of doing quality business. I was told I’d be charged $60 for killing, skinning and disposing of the organs, per animal for a live hog. I had 2 lined up to be killed for $120 on a Wednesday. I picked them up on Thursday afternoon and What I was actually charged was $160.40 for a 359 pounder and $144.80 for a 303 pounder or $.40 per pound hanging weight The farmer charged me $.70 per pound for the entire animal. I wasn’t issued an apology or a chance to talk through why I was getting price gauged. Only a forlorn look of obvious taking advantage of a potential repeat customer. I hope other customers who do business here use discretion and ask a lot of questions I also hope the ownership of this place change or will not be...
