Being winter Texans, we had no doctor. When my wife developed a kidney stone, they said they carry many Mexican herbal medicines including a urinary cleanse and a stone buster which were very inexpensive. Five days later, she got pain again and went to ER. After the CAT scan, the doctor said the stone had passed, and the kidneys and urinary tract were CLEAR--these herbals worked! We can't thank them enough for their kind help and concern for our situation as we really were literally between a "ROCK" and a hard place at that time (pardon the pun). I recommend the Cubano sandwich combo and authentic Chicago dogs. Super ice cream treats made your way, and sterling silver jewelry-- my wife's favorite. Lots of taxidermy for sale. Kids love chasing Friendly the chicken and watching the kangaroos and birds and peacocks as well as seeing all the oversized fake animals. Neat place...

Had a really good time with my kids and wife at Buenas Ideas. I was greeted by a friendly man named Jack who gave me a tour of the place and products that they carry. The store itself is very unique, they carry jewelry, clothes, outdoor decorations, and a variety of foods and desserts. My family and I ordered food which was very delicious and Jack's hospitality made my experience so much more then just a regular stop at a store. My kids went outside to see the beautiful peacocks and was told that they bring animals for kids to see, they really enjoyed themselves. I recommend this place to anyone to stop by and treat themselves to great atmosphere where food, drinks, desserts and the great service are combined to create an unforgettable experience. A GENERAL STORE and MORE. I love this unique friendly place. From the parking area which you see 1st. There are picnic tables all around parking lot. Great for social distancing. And you get to see a huge exotic bird cage with happy nesting cooing birds and their eggs and a couple of baby kangaroos. An ice cream shop with many sweeties. Hot dogs, Cuban and Italian sandwiches, hot and cold drinks. Not your typical snack bar, but much better. lovely outdoor seating for Larger parties. And yes you can rent area for parties. Exotic wares from far away places are fun to check out or take home. So eclectic you must see yourself. Jack and Diane are so friendly and warm and make your visit a memorable time. Hours 11-7.
