IF YOU HAVE A KIA OR HYUNDAI, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! âKIA BOYSâ ARE BREAKING IN AND/OR TRYING TO STEAL OUR CARS AND THE COMPLEX DOESNT CARE (google Kia boys in Texas) Pretty apartment complex though BUT I have had my car almost stolen (its apparently a common thing according to reviews on nextdoor app and the converse sheriffs department, the fence around the complex has alot of holes). They broke my steering column as well. Also, about every month something has been an issue (everyone would want what was breaking fixed). Example, my A/C going out (there wasnât a hurry to fix), plumbing issues, scratches on the wood floor upon moving in, marijuana odor in my apartment almost daily due to next door tenants, causing it to come through my vents, apartment was not made ready for move in, a snake almost made contact with my leg next to where I walk to go up to my apartment at night after work (picture below). I was walking to the staircase leading to my door. My service dog thankfully warned me at the right moment. I asked for confirmation this will be rectified with pest control (I submitted the order on the portal when it happened a couple weeks ago) that I pay for every month (there is snake deterrent, because I deal with pest control with my career) no response. I have texted the number they give to talk to them, I have emailed, I have called and left voicemails (No response). I have only been here for six months, everything has happened between 0-5 months in. I am getting to the point of Fair Housing Act with my doctor due to their negligence. I have had to call every time after being patient for days, submitting work orders on their portal. I only get a response if I become annoying. The maintenance guys are very nice though and are so sweet with my dog. The communication is piss poor despite being able to text, call, or email (no response). No one answers, unless you get them at the perfect time. Definitely hard when you work nights. Thank goodness they recently made sure to put a camera by the trash compactor because people were dumping furniture but wont for the car thefts around the complex. I have already reached out, save the generic response. Also you have to pay shared water bill so your water bill can vary...
   Read moreI would not recommend The Legends at Kitty Hawk to anyone looking to move near this area! Every time I went into the office the staff was always new. Also, I had to call a time or two because I was being wrongfully charged for items that didnât need to be on my billing statement. Yes, they were temporarily fixed but not for long. I recently received my security deposit, which again, I was wrongfully charged. I went into the office to discuss the matter with the property manager, who is now Wendy, and I gave her proof of items I already paid for the previous month. She seemed confused and said she had to look further into my security deposit statement because she saw a lot of âdiscrepancies." I was shocked because her name was on the statement as if she prepared it. She stated she could not go into my account to fix the charges, when she has other times, in previous months. She told me âshe would get back to me the follow week" because she was going to have her regional manager look over my statement. This was on 4.27.2018! I never heard anything back, so I decided to give a follow up call because I felt âforgottenâ. I called two weeks later around 3:30 pm and Rosalinda told me Wendy was on lunch she would have her call me right back and I did not receive a call back nor heard from anybody that week. I called a THIRD time on 5.16.2018 and Kayla answered, I told her about the situation as she then put me on hold to discuss the matter with Wendy, she then gets back on the phone and says Wendy will give me a call when itâs ready, I then proceed to tell her I need an update about my situation ASAP or I will be contacting corporate, she then relates the message to Wendy and Kayla then says Wendy will give me a call back within 48 hours. Once again, I never heard back from anyone, and I am once again PUSHED to the side so Iâve had enough! I feel my situation should be heard because messing with peopleâs money is bad business!    Read moreI have been living here for 3 going on 4 years. When i first got here i absolutely loved it. Of course it was my first apartment so my expectations wasnât high. Later on i began to experience little unpleasantness and low to mediocre customer service. The maintenance person just had something against me so he was rude when i had a work order put in for a leak in bathroom sink but of course those things donât bother me as much. I put in a work order for a leak in kitchen sink and i have not seen anyone for 2 weeks and counting. However, later on i began to experience issues with the front desk. I am ALWAYS on time to pay my rent so i didnât expect this extra charge on my account of $50. I called the front desk yesterday (July 20, 2020) at 5:30pm and even though the advertised closing time is 6pm, no one was available to take my call. I waited today to call again to enquire about that $50 charge and i was told by Jasmin because i didnât have renters insurance is the reason there was a charge. I in fact had renters insurance which automatically renewed and i was charged for it since June 9th so i had active insurance. She asked me to email it to her as proof so i did so almost immediately after we got off the phone. I then called back and Jessica answered. I asked to talk to Jasmen, since i was already dealing with her but Jessica said she would help me since she is the manager. I told her what happened and she said that she will not reverse the charge. This is the first time i experienced this because since Iâve been here Iâve never had that problem. I had active insurance all throughout the time Iâve been here and this never happened. I would have understood if i had a lapse in insurance but i have to pay an extra 50 on top of my pricey rent for my one bedroom apartment. I must say the customer service has depreciated over time.
