BE AWARE. during our recent long RV trip through southern Utah, we stopped for gas at the adjacent flying J. a guy in his 70s ( he told us) from this tire shop noticed one of our tires on our travel trailer looked low. upon checking he was correct. I asked if they could repair and they carefully jacked up the trailer, removed the tire and made a minor repair ( replaced valve internal) at no charge. this was much appreciated, as we were over 1000 miles from home by this time. HOWEVER, he also recommended and insisted my suspension was lose indicating worn bushings. when I questioned him and then did not accept his suggested repair ( $1000 US for a unit that was far beyond required), he tried to scare us with unlikely scenarios about how our trailer axles would fail unexpectedly especially on the rough roads between Page and Springdale. mostly caused anxiety worry for my wife. I had the suspension checked by an RV shop a few days later and the technician confirmed no concerns. also confirmed there was no chance of a unexpected failure even if the bushings were worn as the guy at this shop suggested. suspicious .. offer insight, then do a minor repair for free and then try to pressure customer into an unnecessary very expensive repair. hope this prevents others from falling...
Read moreWe pulled into the gas station adjacent to the shop just to buy some Red Bull for the remaining 400 miles to home. One of the mechanics noticed that one of my camper tires looked like "an egg". He suggested I speak with the RV specialist at the shop. Upon further inspection, we found that all 3 of my original tires were badly in need of replacing. I had replaced one of the worst ones with the spare before leaving, but had no idea the rest were just as bad. They were all delaminating and bulging at the center of the tread. After a quick quote and some very informative info regarding tire types, we settled on a set of 4 new tires. These guys pulled all 4 tires off the camper, swapped them out with the new set of sneakers, and had everything remounted within 30 minutes. Can't say enough about the professional way they took care of us. I feared it would take a couple of hours to get us back on the road, but we were pleasantly surprised when they let us know we were ready to go! The odds of us stopping here and getting this kind of service are pretty slim. Thank you to all of the crew at Tushar Mountain...
Read moreGeorge and his crew are absolutely amazing humans. We live in our 5th wheel full time, pulled in for a quick potty and Randy ran over to tell us a lug nut might be loose as we had some trailer tire wobble. Got over there and they took a peek to find our entire suspension was shot… like equalizers had cracks running through, bushings shot, and the $1500 trailer tires we had just bought were already wore badly because of it. George and his guys showed us everything that was wrong and then had the parts on hand and got us on our way a few hours later. Their service was outstanding and they truly abide by the “do the right thing” way of life. It was an expensive day, but I am so incredibly grateful to them. Had they not fixed it, who knows how long it would have went before catastrophe. Stand up guys and we will stop here every time we come through just to see George. Best guys...
