This was a great store for many years, UNTIL they started this horrible, ridiculous remodeling. Top biling in the remodel is the beer, wine, booze section which we are forced to go through around every time we shop. If we wanted to frequent such products, we would go directly to the liquor store. Though we were told all employees would know where the items are and be helpful, try to find one who knows and who is even courteous, let alone helpful. A few weeks ago, no one knew where the frozen meat/seafood section went to!! Tonite's quick shopping was the icing on the cake, the deli is gone, no more deli. No more shopping at this Weis for this family either. Why not try to please the customers, loyal for years and years instead of some freaky design that makes it inconvenient for us all???!!
Thanks for the supposedly caring response, we're tired of calling customer service. Why not answer our questions right here? Why the crazy remodeling putting the liquor smack dab in high profile? Why closing the deli? Why don't employees really know where anything is? Why don't employees...
Read moreThis is a small Weis, off the beaten path, so I was not expecting much. I've shopped at nice big brand new Weis markets and was never impressed. However, this little store beats any other Weis' I've been to. There are some really cool items to be found here, food items I have never seen before. The gluten-free section was very impressive to me. The tea selection was just as varied as a Wegmans, they had meats from local butchers (Alpine and Murazzi were my favorites), and they even had a small wine and beer section. Check it out if you get a chance.
Update 12-2021:. On my latest visit today there were a couple of construction areas within the store. I heard they are moving customer service and offices to the dairy side and taking out that middle section near produce. It should be a bit more of a friendly layout after. Can't wait to see it.
Just returned again in August 2023 and wanted to pop on and reiterate that I still really love this store. It is such a better store than the one in Tunkhannock, which is where I live. So many more choices and in...
Read morealways some kind of delay with how many customers pay..i wind up switching lines, which doesnt help much of the time..i dont know what happens; all i know is cashiers are always saying "it didnt go thru" then after cashier yells to customer service the cashier then says "oh, ok; it went thru now", or something similar. i've had to leave the lines + put back melting ice cream or other perishables before returning to wait in the stalled line. They usually have only 2 cashiers. Also Weis's deli brand, Reser, of salads such as potato, macaroni, etc, is the worst imaginable. Tastes like some kind of wierd preservative or something is in them, tastes terrible..i forget until i try them once more then it all goes in the garbage. Tastes thin also not like a creamy mayo dressing. The reason i do go to this Weis is the store is quiet and has a good array of Amy brand gluten-free products not available at closer store to...
