Absolutely amazing! I just came back from this camp today with my school's 5th and 6th graders. The naturalists are incredibly nice and encouraging!! The activities are really entertaining! There's a lab where you can touch a snake and see animal fur! You can also go swimming, play basketball, soccer, volleyball and just hangout with your friends during Rec Time. The classes include rock climbing, hiking, going to creeks, and so much more! The food is also delicious! My favorite part in class was the solo night hike. It's not long at all. You walk one by one in a straight line and your naturalist would be waiting at the end of the trail! The cabins are awesome as well! My cabin was Everglades 1 (E1) . There are 4 bunk beds and a extra folding bed. There are 8 closets and under each bed there's 2 large drawers. There are 2 toilets and bathrooms and 3 sinks! This is by far one of the best camps and all of California! I’ve been coming here for several years and have seen so many students life changed at this place. Just recently in 2023. They did a remodel up here. They did a lot of improvements. They just continue to make this place look even better than it has before. There’s several cabins I mean like dozens of cabins for students to stay in. There’s a large pool where you can lap swim or play with friends. They even have a diving board in the deep section of the pool. There’s a beautiful grassland up at the top where you can have games for students to play. There’s even a climbing wall up there. They recently added an artery area. They have a great volleyball area with nice sand . They have an area called the forum lawn where students can hang out and even play spike ball. It was a very nice camp site and I got lucky with very nice cabinmates and our counselor but some of the other staff here were rude and not kid friendly. They scream at you with no good reason and there are some of us that are more sensitive to that, I wish they'd be more mindful of how they talk to us. Also, we only get two minutes to shower so I removed a star for that alone. I had to get out of the shower with sand remaining all over my body which made me feel so dirty and so uncomfortable to sleep like that.. I ended up with severe rashes all over my body due to this.
