Very cool place to visit. Took a steam train ride up the mountain to look at the redwoods. The conductor was very informative and provided a few laughs. Train was a little bumpy as expected since it was over 100 years old. Great experience.

No bears in the last 150 years despite the name. Nice picnic area, some interesting views and lots of trees. Stopped here briefly, but well worth it.

It was a spectacular. We took the moonlight dinner train and even though it was very foggy, it allowed for a cool experience in the dark.

This is the mountain top you reach at the end of the Roaring Camp steam train ride — peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by redwoods. You can’t drive up here; it’s only accessible by train or hiking.

We took the train, and it stops here for a short break before heading back down. It’s a great spot to stretch your legs, take some photos, and enjoy the fresh forest air. Not much up here in terms of facilities, but that’s part of the charm.

Totally worth the...
