Pinnacle Peak Park is a gem in Scottsdale, offering breathtaking views at every turn. This is easily my favorite trail, though I use the term "hiking" loosely—it’s more of a moderate walk, making it accessible to many. Over the years, I’ve watched my kids evolve from enjoying the trail’s stunning vistas to now running it for exercise, which has been wonderful to witness.
If you’re visiting, be sure to bring your camera. You’ll find plenty of photo-worthy spots along the way. It typically takes us about 25 minutes to reach the highest point on the trail, which sits at 2,889 feet. There’s a small orange sign marking this spot, making it a great place to pause and snap a memorable photo. While we usually turn back at this point, many hikers continue on to explore further.
A few tips for your visit: as with any hike, remember to bring plenty of water and stay on the trail to preserve the natural environment. There are clean washrooms and an informative visitor center at the entrance, and the park provides ample parking. I highly recommend arriving early to catch the sunrise from the trail—it’s an unforgettable experience that sets a peaceful tone for the rest of the day.
Pinnacle Peak Park offers a serene escape and a chance to connect with nature, whether you're seeking exercise, scenic beauty, or both. Cheers to many...

My friend had juevos eggs! Another great day to have a root beer! And the customer service was nice! We sat outdoors, later I went inside to take pics for the review bc I wouldn't be able to answer questions otherwise,I got a lot of looks. But that's okay, we've learned and are still learning diversity. It takes time. I also ordered a pancake instead of toast! We shared meals and his was amazing! I had hashbrowns that I ended up putting too much hot sauce on. Honestly they made the best though,of anyone I have tasted. A little hot sauce goes a long way. So anyways i hope you all enjoy, the view is pleasant, plenty of shade, cool breeze and great service! Didn't take long to bring the food either! MOST IMPORTANTLY, the restrooms are a scale above a rest area restroom, smell included, however it is kept clean! They are also located outside. And the restaurant is attached to a gas station, convenient store, beauty salon, post...
Read moreIt's a great butt-kicker hike. Less than 4miles roundtrip. Budget for 2-2.5 hrs with short breaks here and there because there are steep sections. This is an out and back hike. You hike up to the highest summit point and still continue on till you see the end of trail sign. Then turn around on the same trail back to the trailhead. The trailhead has restrooms and water fountains. Trail is very well maintained with mile markers and tree identifiers. There's no shade though so plan to complete the hike accordingly in the summer. I didn't give it five stars because the trail is extremely crowded and you can't enjoy the proximity to the nature due to all the noise (people chatting and listening to loud music while hiking). It affects parking too, almost impossible to find a spot if you arrive later in the morning. In general, great exercise to get your heart pumping in a...
