Emlenton Truck Plaza — Local services in Scrubgrass Township

This travel stop was excellent, except for the restaurant. The bathrooms were clean, the staff of the store area were engaging and helpful and the variety of gifts was charming, fun and very reasonably priced. However, the staff at the "Dig In" restaurant left something to be desired. We walked in and seated ourselves as the sign directed. The place had several empty tables, many of which had dirty dishes on them. We were never approached by a waitress even though she looked at us. She proceeded to continue her conversation with a table that had finished their meal. My brother lifted his arms up and waved them both around and said, "Hello?" And yet again we were ignored. After 5 minutes, we got up and left. The store staff gets 5 stars (they even apologized for the terrible service at the restaurant even though it wasn't their fault) - restaurant staff 0. And to the waitress who ignored us - my brother usually tips over 20%...

The place is in a exellent spot for trucks. You park go in easy access. Not too crowded, clean nice. The restaurant is nice. The service is bad unatentive server they would keep you wating for the menu for 10 minutes . They seen to be local girls that know one another so they just take it easy. The food on the menu is NOT up to the level of the place. They need a prime T-BONE steak and some chiken wings with bone in they have some crapy food in a nice looking place, is a shame. I whent in expecting to get a fullfilling meal a got some bad sample plater. The next time a small not to my expectations burger. So good looking place, clean, bad unatentive service "not their fault is a management problem" and crapy food. Sorry hope they gey a full T-Bone and...

In the summer I stop here almost every weekend because we fish on the Allegheny river and stay at the emlenton motor inn on top of the hill. I've never had a bad experience in the last 30 years I've been going. We buy gas, goodies, supplies and they have a great restaurant and a lot of wonderful things to shop for in there. The prices are awesome the people are friendly who work there and I always get yelled at for wanting to shop instead of in and out like my husband. You can't ask for a more convenient place to get gas shop dine and stay at the emlenton motor inn at the hilltop. I love this place it's like home to me all...
