Myself, my Husband and our youngest son (17 yrs. old) just recently had the ultimate pleasure of once again doing business with, as this is our 4th experience over a span of about 19 years and counting, that Sound FX (at their Bridgeville location this time around), it's fantastic owner Brian Layton and his nothing short of absolutely amazing, motley crew of boys that he has there working for him. Over our many years of having our vehicles worked on by them, or as our youngest son would tell you, "getting em' tricked out by Scott and the boys, (shout out Baby..... YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST)" my husband and I have never been anything short of 110% satisfied with the quality of their workmanship, and we've yet to experience anything other than most heartfelt welcome the instant we walked in the door. It's almost as if the moment you cross the threshold, you're suddenly accosted by all of your most favorite family members that until that very moment, you had failed to realize just exactly how badly you'd missed them. Put short and sweet, they're not salesmen and women trying to convince you why to buy from them, they are family who do whatever they can to ensure that you understand and are completely satisfied with the final outcome of the work you have done, regardless of whether or not you choose them to do the job or not. The customer's Knowledge of the process from start finish and providing them with every possible option out there is available to them out there, are the most important things to them, and that's what they stand by! Over our many years we've had some of the most basic work done on our vehicles by them (i.e. remote start installed on our son's new Jeep 2 weeks ago), and we've had a slight bit more in depth work done by them, with the installation of Apple Car Play systems installer in multiple vehicles over the years. We've had some not so basic and somewhat unusual work done (i.e. my husband's windows tinted all the way around in his new truck just last week, tinted to a depth that will be extremely helpful to him by curbing problems with the direct sunlight in his eyes while driving all day long like he has to do for his place of employment), and then we've also had some major reconstructive work done on multiple occasions by them, where multiple interior parts on 2 my trucks over time have been entirely reconstructed to exact factory detail right there on-site by their staff, to allow the installation of 10" Bluetooth capable TV/DVD/Internet & Video Game Console Compatible televisions sets directly into the rear of both my front seat headrests, for our Grandaughters (3 & 6 yrs. old) entertainment on their weekend visits with Mommom and Poppop. And not once have we ever walked away from Sound FX with our heads hanging down in regret to our decision to have them perform the work. And not once during any of our dealings with them, did we not literally feel the need to ask that they repeat to us the quote they just gave us, due to being utterly stupified at the low price that we thought we just heard come out of their mouths. I mean it's just not possible I heard them correctly is it, there's no way, not with everything that we want them to do for us, right? OH YES, we actually did hear correctly! BOTTOMLINE IS... if what you're looking for is 1. Family Service; 2. Craftsmanship Quality Results EVERY TIME; and 3.Such Unbelievable Reasonably Priced Labor charges to do the work requested, so much so that you can't help be left with a huge smile across your face and stars in your eyes, THEN SOUND FX IS WHERE YOU WANT, AND NEED TO GO!!! I/We simply couldn't find a bad thing to say about these amazing group of men and women, even if someone were to tell us that we had to. They have without question, earned the life long business of the Collins family, and they did so the very first time that we walked in the door of their now closed down, original Delmar, DE location 19 years ago..!!! The car installation was completed before the expected time . Scott was a huge participant in making sure I was able to afford the initial cost through phone communication and daily check ups after hearing about my story and desire to have the remote start installed years back I had a few attempts .I was referred by Preston Ford to this company due to the fact that they no longer provide the service on vehicles. Everything was done at my convenience no hassle no pressure just simply a company that means it’s a pleasure serving their clients .    Read moreI’ve worked in customer service at a pretty high level for right around 45 years, and I know a little something about it. Today I had one of the best experiences in my memory at Sound FX in Bridgeville. From the minute my wife and I arrived for our 9 AM appointment when Nicole the lovely woman at the front desk asked if we had eaten breakfast, and if we were hungry, to when we left a little later with an expertly-completed repair, my wife and I were blown away by the cordiality, hospitality, professionalism, competency and more from the staff. Dylan greeted us with a huge smile, assuring us he would be performing the repair of a complex sound system much more quickly than we thought. Scott, the boss, introduced himself, kept an eye on the progress, and himself was as warm and gracious as anyone could be. GM Bryson kept his eye on everything (He even called me the next day to follow-up, though everything had been perfect). When my wife and I left around 11, we could not have been more satisfied or impressed. So, how many stars? Five are not enough. This place and these people are special.
