Iâm not sure how to rate this park. First, it is truly beautiful. There are several sites that accommodate large rigs; we need a minimum of 45 feet (tight fit) but 50+ is what we prefer. The pull through we are currently parked in has plenty of space. The grassy areas are plentiful. (No camping ârugsâ are allowed on the grass which is understandable for the park owner, but not so great for the tracking grass, mud etc into our trailer.) Still, everything is clean, well maintained and inviting. The owners really do have a lot to be proud of here. We heard elk the first night of our stay, but did not see them...because of the rain. Now for the not so great. We are Oregonians. Rain? Who cares, but the flooding in this park is not an âadventureâ as was stated in a previous review response; itâs a nightmare. We have a big, female Rottie (gentle giant) who will not potty in standing water. We paid for a five night stay, but the flooding problem here WAS NOT mentioned until the last moment. We had to sign a disclosure statement...after the payment transaction was completed...and then learned there is no refund if you have to leave early due to flooding. Weâre not quite sure how to feel about that...no, we do know how we feel...it seems more than a bit shady. We just spoke to the family camping next to us-they too were not told about the flooding/refund debacle until AFTER they paid for their stay. This just isnât right. They are currently stepping into 9+/- inches of water when the step out of their RV. They are coming out barefoot with their pants rolled to their knees. Luckily itâs 49 degrees, but that water is still cold. We camp on the coast in the winter season all the time. The weather for this trip was a daily 50/50 shot at isolated rain. Again, we are Oregonian campers; we know how to assess weather reports and live radar maps. Weather can change between one breath and the next. It hasnât stopped raining since the first morning of our stay. If flooding wasnât a problem weâd be out the door. Weâd be all over a Seaside, the beaches...we love to explore...isnât that part of the reason we all camp? Because of the standing water beginning to rise all over what we now think of as Circle Lake, weâre afraid to leave our dog & 5th wheel. I can look out the door right now to see the resort road behind us is under at least 3 inches of water. Several of the sites around us already have deep standing water under their trailers/vehicles and there are geese swimming on a pond that didnât exist behind the registry office yesterday. The mud; you can not get away from the mud. I can see that all the pretty green grass here is a necessity to alleviate soil erosion, but geez... Our 5th wheel is only 4 years old and pristine. Iâll have to clean everything, including the carpet, when we get home. We will never return to this park because the management chose to collect our money without telling us about the recurring flood events and allowing us to make an informed decision. It may be their business, but we didnât buy an old, cheap 5th wheel. We left this morning because the water is still rising and king tides are expected tomorrow...better safe than sorry. **This is a response to the owners reply to my rating/review. I tried to just ignore what this person said in reply, but I just could not let the lies stand.
Very beautiful grounds. Helpful, efficient and friendly staff!
The park is CLEAN. Plenty of parking. There IS a fenced dog run on the Northern end of the property.
As is the case with every RV Resort has we have stayed at from Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington.. there IS rift-raft. This is âLIFEâ folks. It is hardly fair to rate your stay/review based upon the reality that people have REAL LIFE challenges and thus are forced to live their lives, according to said challenges. Mind your own business, do unto others as you wish done to you.. and try inviting a stranger (neighbor) to enjoy a fire pit, or have a beer, coffee, Etc. Some day.. somebody may pay you a similar act of random kindness. ;)
âStormyâ, the young lady working the counter upon our check-in was Very pleasant, Friendly and genuinely & legitimately making it a point to stress the reality of the âFlooding Probabilityâ. Granted, I noticed the previous reviews Re; Flooding... still her FOREWARNING of said concerns was appreciated as it was courteous and professional. Stormys Mom is the resort Manager and as friendly and hospitable. :)
Internet: EXCELLENT Cellular: Sprint/T-Mobile EXCELLENT Mail service: EXCELLENT Propane Onsite: N/A Cable: Didn't Use BONUS: Elk bugling and present on the grounds frequently!!
My only less then desirable mention in any way with this facility is their Rule regarding No rugs or carpeting on the grassy areas. This RULE exists for obvious reasons: APPEARANCE & an attempt to prevent unattractive eyesores of yellow patches in the thick green grassy zones where the camper previous to your arrival may have had said carpet on the lawn, choking it out & killing it!! NOT such an easy remedy either. It takes possibly longer then âyour stayâ perhaps to repair damage that was unnecessary and most avoidable. This is an obvious concern, for ANY property owner not to mention, one of the first mentions on RV Resort Reviews.. IS whether or not there was sufficient grassy areas Vs gravel or dirt. That said, I get it! Granted, being able to walk into your coach having first wiped your feet, and kicked off any dirt, leaves, twigs, Etc. Is merely a basic housekeeping strategy that helps protect carpeted surfaces, prevent a unnecessary slip, and aides in keeping your common area DRY. All of that said, I am taking the higher ground and before returning to Circle Creek next week, I am first bringing with me, a few pallets to raise said carpet OFF the ground and set above the water-table.
Beyond the flooding, everyone I have met in the park (other tenants) have been friendly, respectful and mindful of others ailments or needs.
Weâve SURVIVED COVID-19 folks.. letâs Help each other UP.. and be more mindful as to maybe just taking a break, breathing, and being âthankfulâ for the beauty around us, companionship and friendships we make along the way.. and for the opportunities we have to extend a hand, offer a ride or merely share a smile and âHave a nice day!â
âThank you Circle Creek Resort for a GREAT STAY, and We are looking forward to staying the remaining part of this Winter with you!! :)â

Read moreBe Warned!! I booked at Circle Creek for 2 nights because it was filling up and I was unsure of my plans. Hailey, a young girl who had already screeched at me for parking in the wrong spot, handed me a list of policies and sent me on my way to the site. I read over the policies carefully and approached her the next morning for a refund for one night as I had decided to get back on the road. She said the park was going to keep my money because that was "park policy". However, when I showed her the park policy sheet she had given me and asked her to point out that particular policy because I must have missed it, she backed away yelling for the whole park to hear that I was being hostile and she wasn't going to deal with me. Now... I am a 55 yr old woman traveling alone and hardly the hostile type so I didn't appreciate the intimidation tactic of the park staff collecting an audience, obviously something she was told to do. Not being a confrontational gal, I decided that since I had paid for the site and wasn't getting a refund, I would come back that night after all. I left the park to do some sightseeing and returned that evening only to find she had rented out my spot...and the office was closed, of course. Double dipping isn't listed on their policy sheet either. So if you plan on staying here, just book one night at a time because they WILL...
