Silvana's Dessert Academy — Local services in Seattle

“Best Birthday experience EVER!” was what our daughter shared with us. That is a pretty high compliment considering she’s had some Stellar parties! Our Daughter celebrated her birthday with 5 of her friends this past weekend. 3 hour drop off party with baking lesson taught by Silvana, birthday cake, piñata, zip line, and more. If you want your child to have an experience that he/she will remember for a lifetime, this is it! If your child loves baking, this is it.

Silvana has been so easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. She pays close attention to details and is very hospitable. Each child was served hot chocolate with candy cane, she served coffee to us (parents). We walked into a beautiful party table with a stunning chocolate cake. The kids baking station was ready with all the tools including cute matching aprons and hats (the hats they took home).

Silvana's Dessert Academy camp is one of those secret Seattle gems - you love it and want to share, but you don't want it to be "too popular."

My kids have been going to Silvana's for Thanksgiving break camps since my son was too small to reach the counter without a step stool (~ 5 yrs). The kids have created some amazing desserts AND bring home a ton (and i mean TON) of savory food also. One day of camp is a week of catering for the family (lentil soup, coq a vin, clam chowder, roasted veggies and chicken, focaccia bread, scones-- the list goes on). This is not like the 2 hr demo classes. The kids really learn how to cook and do all the work themselves.

As for the teacher - Silvana is friendly and very patient with the whole crew of kids. The kids have breaks to run around in the back yard and play with her small dogs.

Be sure to clean out your freezer before you send your kids. You will need the space to store all the goodies.

We can not say enough about our love for Silvana! It all started with a birthday party for my daughter when she was in kindergarten, then after school classes and camps year after year! My daughter is now in 5th grade!! So for the last 5 years, cooking with Silvana has really become a family tradition. Now my 2nd grader son has joined the fun! The kids look for any opportunity to spend time with Silvana. She is so kind and patient and has really instilled a love of cooking and baking in our kids! What more could you ask for? They are developing a skill that will last them a lifetime. The best part, of course, are the amazing creations they come home with and they are just so proud to share them with the family.
