Ive had good visits with this hospital.there is a triage nurse there named crystal that is hands down the best ive ever seen but this time is absolutly unbelievable.my friend and i came here on xmas eve for a laceration on his finger,it was bad.we sat out in the waiting room for 3+ hours when i finaly went up and asked about how much longer till he was seen(he had blead thru his bandage and was bleeding onto the floor).the receptionist informed us that his name was not on there list(he had been thru triage and everything, had a wristband)she tells us that we must have left when they called our name(we never left)and wanted to put him thru the intake process all over again.he was pissed so we left.i was gonna take care of it at my house but found out it was beyond my scope so we returned and the same receptionist started off by telling us that we were wrong for leaving like they did nothing wrong.(its xmas eve,i didnot want to waste 3+ hours sitting in the waiting room for my health). Extremely unprofessional in my oppinion.there was a huge ball dropped on there end and they did nothing to try to correct this besides dumb it down like it was no big deal to save there ass. Well bet you this we will be speaking to a lawyer after the holidays.and save your reply about contacting your patient relations department, thats like a signature on a stamp.its just an insult to people when you respond with the same response with no intention on actually doing anything about your incompitence in patient care and relations. Something like this heads should roll over this kind off error but they wont.
Doctors and nurses get a 5 star but the front desk and admin dept of this hospital get 1 star because this is not the first nor the last of these kind of complaints but nothing will change.
Update-went back later this evening and my friends finger was so bad he needed 17 stitches.and he was sent home with nothing for his pain.he was miserable for the next 2 days.gross...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the worst hospital I have ever seen. The customer service is awful the team fights with each other in front of patients. My dad has a serious cardiac history and was sent in for a stress test . He was told to show up 15 minutes before his appointment he wanted to be safe so he showed up 25 minutes before his appointment the lady behind the desk checked him in and told him to wait in the waiting Room of which he did. Sometime later a man came out and asked where he was a lady told him and he began yelling and screaming at her in front of everybody in the waiting Room telling her that they were busy the doctor had things to do and now she has ruined things. My dad stood up and said how about we not yell and let's go get my stuff done. The man began turning his rage on to my dad screaming and yelling and saying that it was his fault for not being there earlier than he was and that now he would be holding up the whole place so he would not be getting a stress test done and he was going to put him down as a no show in his chart. Now my dad who had been having chest pain and needs to have this test on is now held up for who knows how long before he gets on appointment with somewhere else. As you can imagine he will not be going to this hospital. If this is the kind of care that they give patients in an outpatient procedure I would hate to see what would happen if he had a serious problem inside the hospital. Places where staff are mean and belittle each other and are violent is not a place that That we want to get our care. If something were to happen I doubt that they could take care of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in with my kiddo who was having a migraine. Couldn't keep their medicine down, and in significant pain. The intake team was kind and caring. They promptly processed the information and got us back to triage right away. Triage was quick and efficient. We were back in a room shortly after.
Dr. Russell was amazing! My kid didn't want an IV. Dr. Russell calmly and patiently explained the best option for treatment was: 1. IV, 2. shot, or 3. sublingual medication for nausea. Doc asked what the barrier to getting an IV was. When needlephobia was brought up, he asked if anxiety medication could be given nasally, would it be possible to try an IV? He reiterated what would be the quickest route to relief, but was compassionate and respectful of my kids fear. Not once did he try to force anything. He talked directly to my kid to let them know he respected their choice and he wouldn't force anything.
I asked the doc if it was possible to start oxygen because that worked for my migraines in the past? He started it...the doctor. Immediately. He could have fobbed it off and had us wait for the nurse, but he connected the cannula to the oxygen, then the cannula to kiddo right then and there. The anxiety medication was given an the IV was in (thank you Nurse Nathan!).
My experience in the past has been: sit down, shut up, do what I think is best. It was worse as a youth as the doctor would defer to whatever my parent requested without listening to me. That didn't happen here. Thank you United General, Dr. Russell, and Nurse Nathan. Truly a wonderful, kind, caring, and...
