I love this place they have Food you just cant find anywhere else around here, But they are charging the customer a fine for using a credit card! Even debit which is for all intensive purposes CASH! if they are being charged a huge fee for pin debit transactions they need to find a new bank! Most counsumers don't understand the difference between Debit and Credit they are not the same and don't carry the same fees! debit is a direct transfer of funds there's no fees. (I used to take credit and debit cards I know what I'm talking about) Think about it If your margins are so razor thin that you need to pass a 2% fee onto a subsection of your consumers, you probably should be focusing on improving other aspects of the business. Anyone who starts a business knows that these fees exist, so it should be built into the business plan and the price of the food and drinks just like any other cost of doing business. Adding it on separately like this just tells me that you are either not doing very well and are trying to squeeze every last cent from your customers or you arenât very good at running a business because you failed to anticipate a cost that you absolutely should have known about and compensated for.they are already paying a monthly or annual fee just to have the machine! that cost is passed on to the consumers, I know there sales would be higher if this 2% fee was not there. It's the cost of running a business maybe they are copying the business model of the area? (Oconee county businesses are notorious for charging customers...
Read moreI wanted a sandwich today and really didnât want Subway (again). Last second I decided to go to Hochstetlerâs. Iâve been going there off and on for years, but had never gotten a sandwich. The guy behind the counter, who was extremely polite explained how it worked and showed me the different buns. They looked kinda small so I got two roast beef sandwiches with extra meat. Iâll be eating a roast beef sandwich for lunch or dinner tomorrow. The sandwich is not only hefty, the bun is soft and I can taste every part of it. I asked the very nice lady at the register if they ever thought about adding sub rolls. Donât ever add sub rolls, Iâm ashamed of myself for suggesting such a thing. I apologize. Subway and every other sandwich place has lost my business (except for Blue Marble, because itâs Blue Marble). Whenever Iâm jonesing for a sandwich, Iâll head straight to Hochstetlers. A Boylan Bottling Co. Creme Cane Sugar soda goes really well with the roast beef. EDIT: The second sandwich was just as good, if not better, the next day. The seasonings had more time to...
