There are not enough words to express the many wonderful experiences I have had working with Heather at this quaint and charming flower and herb garden. I first came to know this business while searching for safe edible flowers to accent my pastries and cakes. I have been a returning customer since then which I believe was 2015. Heather is the kindest, most professional, and knowledgeable professional and there is no other florist who can beat her skill and taste. She has provided spectacular fresh arrangements for me for many occasions, my wedding, Mother's Day, or just because. She has the most beautiful flowers, I learn something new with every bouquet, there is always a beautiful flower or spectacular greenery which leaves me in awe. I will continue to use her services again and again and will continue to take the hour long drive to have her flowers in my home or accompanying my cakes. The smell of a fresh bouquet made by Heather is enchanting and is such a special treat. She also provides quality resources for your own garden needs. If you are considering whether or not to utilize the services at Willow Oak Flower and Herb Garden for your wedding or special event, don't hesitate any further. You will be treated with kindness, professionalism, and you will receive quality service and if you're lucky you may gain a new friend. Visit the garden, take your children or loved one and tour the garden, sign up for classes and don't leave without a fresh bouquet. You...
Read moreI worked as a wedding coordinator for a period of time so I've had the pleasure of working will all types of wedding aesthetics for couples with floral budgets that far exceeded the budget of my whole wedding. Willow Oak far exceeded my expectations especially with flower prices continuously increasing. We hired Willow Oak a year and a half before our wedding and at the time we were working with Kasey. We had an excellent phone call where I described the color pallet and general gist I wanted from our florals. Fast forward almost a year later we had the pleasure of working with Gwen. We refined center pieces and spoke a little more in detail about what I was looking for. I never specified the kinds of florals I wanted I just requested our color pallet and that the be a lot of movement in the florals and for them to feel whimsical. The day of my wedding I almost ruined my makeup turning my head so quickly to see the aisle arrangements as the Willow Oak team was setting up. The bouquets were INSANE, absolutely unbelievable with a mixture of dried and fresh florals. They were exactly what I was hoping for and looked like they came directly off of Pinterest. We got so many compliments on our flowers. They matched the vibe and what we were going for exactly without breaking the bank. Im going to preserve my bouquet because I loved it so much. Hands down best company to get...
Read moreThis is a North Pole Lights Walk review. This experience for years was a 5-star (guilty of not reviewing in the past, SORRY) but is now a 4-star. This was my family's 6th or 7th year and this year was much less intimate and charming. We arrived as a party of 15 (we brought friends!) and we seemed a bother more than a delight. We were vehemently reminded of the rules. In fact, more time was spent on these than on the prologue to our North Pole journey.
The Santa experience was rushed, a' la shopping mall experience. We were greeted warmly, wished a Merry Christmas, asked if we wanted pics then ushered out the door. The whole visit lasted about 4 minutes for a group of 5 kids. My oldest commented that "Santa didn't ask what we wanted this year." I guess there is no time to ask when there are people waiting behind you. The staff has changed. I asked the North Pole Fairy if Johnny One Note would be in Santa's cabin, and she looked at me as if I made the guy up.
We really missed our relaxed chats with Santa and singing guitar-led Christmas carols in Santa's cabin as in our previous visits. Popularity has diminished the personality of the lights walk. Perhaps allow for online ticket "scheduling" next year? And please welcome back Mr. Johnny One Note. He enhanced the experience.
Of course we will be back. I am just missing the good old days....
