READ THE CONTRACT BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR DOG HERE! My family have been bringing our dog Timber here for years because it is close to home and because he also loves it, however the last few times he has gone he has come home with an injury. 4 years go when we brought him he ripped his paw pad and when we brought it to their attention they said they were in the process of fixing the cement to prevent stuff like that from happeneing, 2 years ago he sprained his paw because he was jumping at the hoses (there is even a note in his profile that states that he hates hoses and will jump at them and that he cannot be round them) 1 year ago he came home with a majorly sprained tail when asked about it we were told he is old (He is 4) and it happened on accident when we told them hes not old we were then told they didn't know what happened or that he just played too hard. Yesterday we asked for his nails to be trimmed which they did not do so and when asked about it was told 2 different stories one being that they didn't have time and then it was that their groomers had forgotten. When picking him up we noticed he was walking slower and did not want to jump in the car and is now walking like he is stepping on hot pavement on soft surfaces and has gotten to the point he will not leave his kennel because he his in so much pain, after checking him over all 4 of his paw pads are either severly ripped or missing skin all together my dog can't event stand outside to pee without picking up his paws from how much pain he is in. How are you as an owner supposed to trust someone to watch your fur baby if the people that you are intrusting your pet to are not following simple asks to keep your dog from getting hurt and then not have the decency to call you to pick them up early to prevent further damage. Now to the part where I stated read the contract, per the contract even if your dog gets hurt on THEIR property under THEIR care they do not take any responsibilty which also means they will not pay for any injury that happens on their property under their watch. I have NEVER seen a boarding facility that does not take some sort of responsibility for anything that happens under their care and then makes the owner pay 100% of the vet bills. As someone who use to work at a boarding facility and has looked into other contracts of other facilities all of them have a pet health and safety clause that states if your pet is injured they will cover up to a certain amount to help pay for the damages caused on company property as a show of good will and to take accountability. After speaking to the manager today all they could offer was a refund and showing the pictures to others to educate but not once did it seem like they were taking any accountablility for what happened... we use to be ride or dies for Doggie Doo's but now my poor dog is traumatized there is only so much one can keep hoping for change before you realize it wont happen. Safe to say we will not be returning anytime in the...

I have screemshots of all the statements you made on Facebook that back up my review. Please stop throwing around legal terms in attempts to intimidate myself and others who are leaving honest reviews.
Doggie Doo’s recently lost a dog while he was there for a 2 hour trial. They didn't notice he was gone until his owner came to pick him up. That means not only were they not properly supervising the dogs in their care, but they were not paying attention to the dog that was there for the trial and would not have been able to provide any feedback to the owner on how his dog did during the trial.
They did not post to their Facebook page of over 3000 followers to spread the word that he was missing and help get him home until 3 days later when they were called out for not doing so. They made excuses and only tried to protect themselves. When people commented asking questions they were rude and defensive. Their responses did not remain consistent and did not match the stories they provided the owner of the lost dog. When they were questioned on this they deleted comments and blocked anyone who dared to question their actions and lies.
One of the owners privately messaged me on Facebook swearing at me and accused me of "being obsessed with my business" because I was one of the people asking questions. I was respectful in all of my questioning but she was not in her messages to me.
Despite what they assume, my dog HAS been to their facility, but he wasn't there under my name so they assume I am not a former customer. I am sure they will comment on my review stating that I'm not a customer like they have done to others who have reviewed regarding this situation as well. We stopped sending my dog there because he stopped getting excited to go and even resisted going inside the last few times. He is a young active dog that loves parks and other daycare facilities, so we determined that there was something about DD that he was not enjoying. We don't know because unlike most facilities, they won't allow cameras for the public to see...what are they hiding behind...

I took my 10 month old black lab in to be boarded recently at Doggie Doo's after a friend gave me a good review of the business. When dropping my dog, Charlie, off... I mentioned that she wasn't perfectly socialized yet and it was fine if she wasn't around other dogs, especially unsupervised. The staff acknowledged my comment.
A day and a half later, I picked up my dog. She was not excited to see me, she seemed terrified. After getting her home, I found scratches and abrasions all over her head and body, and two of her paws were seriously injured. It was very clear that she had been attacked by another dog or dogs.
After alerting the staff, the response I got back was "some dogs play harder than other dogs, sorry for the inconvenience." I elaborated, emailing pictures of the injuries and included our veterinarian's feedback. No response. My dog's paws will take 2 months to heal fully if there are no setbacks.
I would have expected a call from the owner, and some sort of reasonable response. I am not a whiner, I can't even recall the last time I took the time to review a business. But this was a terrible outcome, and it was amplified by an insulting response from the business. They will not take responsibility if something happens to your pet... they will simply shrug their shoulders. Do yourself a favor, find a better option than these amateurs. After the vet bills and recovery time, this will cost me hundreds outside of the boarding fee.
I work for a large company across the street from this business and live in Shakopee, myself. I plan to tell everybody that I can to steer clear of Doggie Doo's.
UPDATE: It's been a month, no call from owners, no refund. Just a puppy who'd trying to recover physically. Since this has happened, I have found that my experience with Doggie Doo's is not unique. Very sad. I hope other families don't have to go through this. This place is not just irresponsible, they're...
