Helpful ACE — Local services in Shasta Lake

Ace“IS” the place. If you need anything they’ve probably got it. They also have a web site that is pretty awesome. Things you wouldn’t think they handle. Great crew too. To have Ace in the vicinity of our little City is so convenient for all of us who live here in Shasta Lake, and saves time and fuel for us. Granted, you might save a couple of bucks going into Redding to some Big Box Store but, you’ll also spend more time, energy, and fuel-If you’re like most people then you don’t have any extra time or energy or fuel. I can’t stress it enough to support your local businesses. Even if it costs you a few more dollars.I’m not sure if they’re locally owned ,but you can ask for your self when you go in. I showed up right at closing time to get a small bolt that would have taken less than 1 minute to grab and get to the counter. The guy at the door was adamant about not letting me in, even after I showed him what I needed. There were two people I could see at the cash register and I would have been there with my little bolt before they checked out. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I was shocked and told him that is bad business. He didn't really seem to care. On another note, it's hard to get help when I do go here. The employees walk around with, it seems, no purpose. I walked in and ran right in to a helpful employee that helped me get the things i needed and answered my questions from my inexperience on the project I was working on without making me feel like a fool. Best part about it....I was in and out in 10 or 15 min but it could have even been quicker and the supplies I bought were the same $ or cheaper than home depot.. Oh... I forgot. Home depot didn't carry some of the supplies parts I needed and ace did. I recommend this place highly.. I even bought things at ace for my travel trailor that the rv store didn't carry and were a 1/4 of the cost if I were to get them through the rv store. Mostly...
