I know itās a long one but bear with me. I work at a different dispensary in Redding. I decided to finally check this place out since I always hear great things. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The waiting room is very small, was very crowded, and the āreceptionistā was sitting on a table in the corner who made no acknowledgement of me until I found him myself and walked over. Going into the sales room, I was surprised only two budtenders were on shift for how busy it was (on a Sunday evening). I also took note of how much available space that room has compared to the waiting room. First thing I told my budtender was that it was my first time in. He couldnāt have cared less, and he made absolutely no effort to show me anything, gave me no opinions or suggestions on any products. He only told me about one brand on sale that day, while the list I read in the waiting room had quite a few. That brand is also really popular at my own dispensary, so I ended up with a preroll I already sell and smoke a lot. Wouldāve liked to try something new but with it being my first time there, I didnāt know the layout or brand names to ask for or anything. Personally, Iām constantly giving suggestions while Iām budtending, as are all my coworkers, and especially when a customer has never been there before. Also found it really odd that this dispensary offers no new customer discount and no industry discount. Not to mention, my budtender didnāt know whether or not they had an industry discount and made me walk over to the manager and wait until his customer left to ask him. What dispensary doesnāt have an industry discount lol My biggest issue with this dispensary is the product I left with. I pointed to the back wall and asked if those are the disposables. Budtender said āyeahā. So Iām trying to look at them from like 10 feet away, clearly struggling to see them, and I donāt know any brand names for the packages I see. I wanted something that I donāt sell myself. I finally recognized Rove, which Iāve heard good things about, and explicitly asked āAre those Rove disposables?ā. Again, budtender said āyeahā and he brought them over for me to pick. I chose one, spent $50 on a ādisposableā and a preroll that was on sale lol. I opened it in my car, and what the budtender had confirmed was a disposable when I specifically asked for a disposable, turned out to be a Rove pod system. The box itself implied it was a disposable, and the budtender should obviously know the difference, so why would I not trust them? Like I said, Iām a budtender myself for a great dispensary in Redding. I know what should be expected of a budtender and their dispensary, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a loyal customer at Perfect Union Shasta Lake for a long time ā but after this last visit, Iām done.
I went through the drive-thru to grab an order Iād already paid for. Out of nowhere, staff demanded my wifeās ID even though she wasnāt buying a thing. When I asked to see this ānew policy,ā they flat-out refused to show it or even explain it.
Because my wife didnāt have her ID, they refused to give me my prepaid order and told me to come inside. So I did ā and thatās when everything went downhill fast. Inside, I was falsely accused of not paying for a past order, something that never happened. I always pay through Stronghold and never hand over my card. I asked them to check my transaction history, and they refused that too, just like they refused to show the āpolicy.ā
After nearly twenty minutes of being treated like a liar, I politely asked Geanna Muckel, the one dealing with me, if I could just get my order and go. She turned her head away and ignored me completely ā like I wasnāt even standing there. When I finally said, āThis is ridiculous,ā she snapped back, āDude, if you canāt be patient, you can go.ā
The manager, Matt, hid in the back the entire time and let it all slide. Didnāt step in, didnāt de-escalate, didnāt do his job. Just watched it unfold while a paying, loyal customer was being humiliated for no reason.
I finally got my order only because another employee stepped in and did what they should have done from the start.
This place has completely fallen apart ā unprofessional, disrespectful, and run by people who shouldnāt be anywhere near customer service. Geanna should be fired. Matt should be replaced.
Iāll be filing complaints with the California Bureau of Cannabis Control and the Better Business Bureau, and Iāll be sharing this story publicly so people know exactly how Perfect Union Shasta Lake treats its customers.
It was way worse than it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been to all 3 collectives in Shasta Lake. I have been to multiple other stores in Oregon and Washington. This is probably the nicest and most professional of all of them.
The prices are actually good. They have flowers as low as $6 (So far that's the lowest) and it is usually pretty amazing product for the price. Everyone has been very friendly and talkative.
They have a decent selection and look out for their veterans, providing a discount for our service.
I have not spoken with the owner too much, but what I have heard from her and from others, makes her pretty awesome! Even if she was in it for some implied reason, who cares? They have great prices and lookout for their customers. Don't knock her if she is in it for business purposes. Why does anyone open a business?! Not just for funsies.
This place is great, and they accept payment types that others do not, which puts them ahead of the game if you ask me. They were smart enough to play the game the right way to give their customers more options than just cash.
Their consultation has been helpful, they have been professional, polite, nice and have purchasing medicine easier than others.
No offense, but they are #1 in Shasta Lake in my opinion.
p.s. forgot; they also have a drive through, another item that beats everyone else. I am...
