Scammer alert! Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I contacted this business about a couple of dates months in advance. Settled on a date and time and she was ready to send me an invoice for the deposit. When I stated it had already been paid for thru Groupon (that's how I originally found her .Google had a link to her services on groupon) , she tells me she is not willing to take it even though it was a valid Groupon that complied with the fine print. All of a sudden " i dont take groupons during this time of the year" - even though there were no restrictions on the advertisement. Highly unprofessional. It's not about 150 dollars - I will be travelling, staying at a nice hotel , fine dining, enjoying helicopter rides , shows, the full Vegas experience AND i have a spa day paid for where i could very well just get my makeup done there - her character is just questionable at this point. If she is capable of not honoring her OWN advertisement what else is she capable of ? If you are celebrating anything special , I suggest booking elsewhere. Peace of mind is priceless. *update : you had me scheduled as a full price client .It's not a matter of not having the time you are choosing not to honor a Groupon for reasons that are not in print. If you are not taking them this time of the year of If there are any restrictions on dates and times that should have been on the fine print so people know what they are spending their money on. And if you,as a merchant, don't know the Groupon rules I suggest you call them because this just earned your business a red flag. Your response reflects exactly what kind of business you are running. I'm glad you were able to publicly state yourself that whether or not you accept a perfectly good , valid Groupon is up to YOU . I never had to ask a merchant before , from Tampa to Vegas and Chicago, the agreement is on print . Let me add that this business had no reviews newer than 5 YEARS until I posted mine. Let that speak for itself. What kind of business go on social media begging for support after a bad review from an actual customer . If my review really made no difference to you , you wouldn't be asking your friends to come leave you a review 5 minutes after I left my honest opinion here. Let...

This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I booked makeup for my daughters prom in February with Las Vegas Make Up Girl for prom I May based on looks I liked and saw that were done by an African American female from instagram.

When you click on her link it says she is the only staff and is someone name Shakiera so we thought we were booking with this person.

A week before prom she lets me know she can’t make it at the time I scheduled and I was going to try and compromise but I couldn’t. She states she is going to send someone else. I ask can I see their work, she refuses to let me see their work or talk to them and is only willing to send a few pictures that I didn’t like. She never gets on the phone with me every time I call I’m sent to voice mail. Now I can understand if I cancel, I don’t get a refund it if she cancels, not only can’t I not get a refund, I’m forced to be sent someone I don’t know based on what she seems okay without letting me see a body of work and be the judge if that is what I want. We go back and forth over a week with her speaking to me in caps telling me what I’m going to get even thought she changed time. I’m not allowed to speak to the person she is sending by myself nor see her work.

I was sent someone named Rosa very nice and professional who did a fabulous job on the eyes but we were not happy with the coverage in cheeks and forehead in which she assured us we would get the look at the end. She is Latino which I have no problem with but I specifically sought out someone who looks like me and who I thought would know skin texture of my demographic.

This person also runs a party business so maybe overbooked and that is fine but if the artist has to make any change of plans, you should be able to get your money back.

I would urge buyers to not pay full price in advance and only the deposit that way if you run into this unprofessional individual, you are not throwing away $264.

She was very rude and unprofessional and we were not 100% satisfied but since Rosa was so nice and professional, I won’t even bother seeking a refund but I will be sure to share...

I follow Shekiera on both FB and IG and I have to say: I don't think she's ever done ugly makeup on any skin tone, color, or woman. Her ability to bring out the best in people while showcasing both their inner and outer beauty is just an amazing thing to watch!

With that being said, I have nothing but good things to say about my own experience with Shekiera! She texted me the day before to confirm and get my hotel information. She was very punctual and was open and communicated everything to include her arrival time. When she walked in the door with this ginormous makeup suit case, she got right to work. Pulling up a hotel chair, filling it with comfortable pillows, she unpacked and made got the full run-down of my day! She looked at the outfits for my engagement photos, and made a full assessment of my face, shape, hair style, and picked a beautiful purple blend for my eyes. She quickly realized that one set of lashes didn't quite pop enough, and got a second set quickly glued on. Before I knew it, my pampering session was done, and we were both on our way out the door!

It was hotter than hell's kitchen in Vegas, and I was a molting duck: perspiring in the worst kind of way. I texted Kiera, and she walked me through how to touch up my makeup so that it wouldn't smear, smudge, or get ruined and would stay fresh for my photos!

To add to the level of awesome: She anticipates and prepares for these moments! She had left me a little tiny touch up kit, complete with a little lipstick (which I still have) and some powder for touch-up!
