As to the Computer Refinery - the review by Ant C is a misrepresentation of the facts, he was never a customer of the shop. In fact he was asked to leave due to his behavior- I was in the store at the time and felt threaten to the point I would have to call the police. Ant C's mother had brought in a laptop which she said her son had worked on and she could not get into it. The computer was password locked. His mother had called him an asked for the password which he gave, it did not work. After recovering the photos, Ant C came into the store and berated his mother and the store. It was explained about the password and he was not sure what it was. A new drive was put in and windows was reinstalled with transfer of the photos from the original drive. Ted the owner gave back the original drive and cut the price for the new drive-reinstalled windows-file transfer of photos. I have known Ted over 20 years, never had an issue, he has always gone above and beyond in all ways. The best computer tech I know. How can someone who never was a customer write a review. His mother was very happy and she got her photos and was offered no charge and would not have it. She paid half price and was not charged for the drive. I do not know how this would make this business a den of thieves nor over priced or poor customer service. The laptop turn around time was the same day, while she waited and was advised at each step during the recovery of her laptop and files. Ted is not only very qualified and experienced on computer repair, but he went above and beyond service wise on salvaging my files and software from my dead old laptop, and copying it all onto a newer one with an up to date operating system. A lot more work and time involved than typical due to my hanging on to my old machine way longer than I should have. I suspect most repair shops wouldn’t have touched it, but Ted dug in and pulled it all together and charged me very kindly, considering the time he spent and very nice used updated equipment he set me up with. He really knows his stuff, gets your computer back to you really quick, (unless he's waiting on parts). He's so busy you have to set up an appointment because he does repairs for businesses and schools, BUT that goes to show you how good he is.
